"Ever since we moved into our newly built home 8 or so years ago, we needed help with the original installation of sod, the fence for our dogs, the automated sprinkler system, etc. Accelerated Green Works (AGW) has always been the team we’ve trusted for all of this work. Usually, I do my own snow shoveling, but, periodically when I’m out of town, a blizzard pops up and my wife needs to teach elementary school in the morning. The latest episode of snow storms this past week occurred while I was out of town. I arranged with AGW to plow / shovel early in the morning for my wife to get out, but school was promptly cancelled. Therefore, I scheduled AGW to shovel later that night once the snow / wind stopped and my wife would need to get out to drive me home from the airport. The AGW team worked with me every step of the way to get the job done right. I’m sure they can’t always schedule these jobs as perfectly as they did for me that day/night, but they definitely did a fantastic job coordinating with me and accommodating my every need. Excellent work. The scheduling was perfect. The plowing / shoveling of my driveway and sidewalks was professionally done with good communication with me to ensure we were both on the same page. AGW seems to consistently do excellent work every time I’ve worked with them. Thank you, Brett, Jodi, Michelle, and the rest of the AGW team!"

"Wade did a great job for us. His workmanship is fantastic - he took his time prepping the worksite and placing block, ensuring everything was level and looked just right. Anytime he had any concerns about the design plans he took the time to discuss it with us to make sure we understood the issue, and proposed ideas on adjusting the build to avoid any aesthetic/structural issues we would have not liked in the end product. Its been almost 1 year since the completion of the project and we couldn't be happier with it - the outdoor space really is an extension of our home, and looks phenomenal!  There are some minor warranty issues due to settling (which you can't avoid in this area) and he has been very responsive."

"<p>I contacted the company to request a design for my front and back yards for my older home.   My plan was to have the company create an overall design to integrate some of my existing landscaping into a new plan.  The job was to be a mix between us doing the work and the contractor doing some of the work.   When I contacted the company towards the end of March, I was told there were a couple of projects ahead of mine.  It may take about a month to get to mine.   I was OK with that and just asked that I be kept informed.  <br /> <br /><br /> <br />Someone came a few days later to look at the project.   He said he would be back to do measurements, but there were about 7 people ahead of me and it would take about a month or so to get to ours.  I said that was OK.  For the first phase, I just wanted to get a plan then move from there.</p> <p>After waiting several weeks, I contact the company to get an update.  I was told once again there were a few projects that were ahead of me and if I needed things right now, they could not do it.   I said I could wait a few weeks and just asked that they keep me informed as I was able to take care of a few smaller projects in the interim.  </p> <p>it is not 3 1/2 months later and no one has contacted me to provide any updates.  I can not comment on the quality of their work.   My review is only to point out the poor communications and lack of responsiveness.   No work was performed, they never came back to measure anything and all communications was started on my side of things.   </p> <p>My advice to anyone looking to hire the company is if you are told there will be a wait, expect a long one and do not expect any type of follow-up to your requests.  I also got the impression that my project was "too small" and they tended to concentrate on the new homes being constructed.  Waiting so long was my mistake.  If you are told there are others in front of you, take notice of that and do not wait.</p> <br />"

"Michael and Jesse came to our home to review the site and talked with us at length about our goals and preferences. We found them patient and flexible, and the design they produced made good use of the space and was very inviting and attractive. Their work crew was young and energetic; Michael was usually on site to work alongside, and I appreciated his low-key, co-operative supervisory style. <br /> Unlike other similar contractors, they were also very responsive--they produced the design and quote within a reasonable length of time, returned phone calls promptly, and while we waited to hear from a potential alternative, checked to see if there were anything else they could answer. <br /> We felt that Michael and Jesse listened carefully and respectfully, and they offered a number of options (paver styles, plants) to accommodate our budget. When we had questions or wanted to make changes, they responded courteously and we were very pleased with the final result. <br /> I am writing this within a week of the project completion; I will try to revisit this review to address how the work stands up, but right now, we are very happy with Specialized. <br /> *I did not grade the price--we were charged the price we'd agreed on (there were no surprises!), and Specialized offered a number of choices of material. <br />"

"Kyle was cordial, personable, polite and always responded in a reasonable time. His prices are reasonable for both the lawn and yard works he has done for us, as well as snow removal work he has done. We often get a lot of snow in our part of the country, and his we welcomed his assistance. I highly recommend this contractor. <br />"

"The crew all seemed to be very experienced and clearly knew what they were doing.  After the storm, we put an "emergency" request in with Barry to get the fence repaired (we have a dog and young kids and came to rely quite a bit on our fully-fenced backyard).  In spite of having numerous requests for storm repairs, the crew was over within just a couple of days to repair the blown-down sections.  They salvaged what they could of the remaining intact panels, to help save us some money too.  One of their crewmen came over after 5 pm (with our permission) and worked until 9:00 to finish up the job so that we didn't have to go without a fence for another night!  <br /> <br /> Very impressive!  The fence made it through several high-wind storms last summer and held up great through the winter.  The price when all was said and done was right around $750 -- which was far less than the cost of replacing the entire fence.  I have recommended Style-It to several friends since."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Kindred, ND

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
