"We are incredibly pleased with the work done by York River Outdoors LLC. They exceeded our expectations, and we believe their work deserves to be showcased in TV commercials. We would not hesitate to hire their younger team members again. If you need decking, fencing, or handicap ramps repaired or installed, we strongly encourage you to contact them. "I would strongly recommend AW Masonry to anyone with a large concrete job. Alan (proprietor) showed close attention to detail. Coordinated smoothly with gravel and concrete deliveries. He and his team produced an excellent surfaced foundation. Very happy."

"I cannot say enough good things about Tyrone and Adiches Concrete & Construction. We could not be more pleased with the results. We hired Tyrone to pour a 1200 sqft monolithic slab/foundation for a two-story building. He advised us on options and materials to keep costs down and manage their availability. He kept us informed of the progress at every step of the project. If weather or materials changed beyond his control, he quickly suggested options to keep the project moving. You can easily reach them by phone or text during the entire project. The crew was polite and friendly. Their experience was evident from the start of the project. The attention to detail is impressive, from prep and pour to finishing. I highly recommend using Adiches and will do so for all our future concrete work. At a minimum, have Tyrone come out for the education. You won’t be disappointed."

"I am happy to write that my experience with Cleanstone Construction was absolutely wonderful. Wes and his team were very kind, professional and committed to doing a great, clean job. They worked to add new stone pavers at the end of our backyard pathway and beautifully matched the pavers to what we have on the other parts of the pathway. We could not be happier with the end result and are looking forward to working with them on a patio project later this spring."

"I highly recommend Custom Concrete & Masonry RVA for all your concrete needs. They installed a 40x100 concrete pad and cobblestone walkway at our wedding venue and it looks incredible. Our clients love their work."

"I wasn't thrilled with the end result. I think they laid the asphalt when it was too cool. Granted my driveway is an unusual shape and more difficult to pave. Mr. Worden was easy to work with.

June 2014 update: Bill Worden provided a free seal coating on my driveway to compensate for the lackluster paving job. The seal coat looks great, and I appreciate it. Was a nice customer service gesture. I would do business with them again. Moral of the story is to lay asphalt during the warmer months, and hopefully they start paving in the morning while the asphalt is still hot. If you are the second job of the day and they show up in the afternoon the asphalt may be cooler and may not go down as well. Overall I had a good customer experience."

"Couldn't ask for a better job. Reid did the entire job by himself, from removing the old walkway (carefully in order to save the slate), to measuring and preparing the bed, and then placing the pavers. Entire job done in a day and a half. Always prompt, courteous, friendly, and did one **** of a nice job. Would recommend to anyone needing hardscaping."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in King William, VA

To calculate your paver needs:

 • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

 • Determine how many square feet you need.

 • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

 • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

 • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

 • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

 • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
