"I hired Quality Lawn Care late last year to remove the remnants of a root system, grade and level out my lawn away from the house, and reseed. Everyone was friendly enough when outperforming the work, but the yard did not look level. When I asked about it, they said it would settle and level out and if there were any issues to give them a call. After everything started to grow in and I cut the grass I found several areas where roots were exposed in addition to an overall unlevel lawn - let alone the grading being non-existent. I took it as the downside of having a large tree removed and reached back out to them to get a quote on having everything gone over again in addition to other work - fully expecting to pay for the service. They were quick to respond and come out to get a quote. Larry was very friendly and got everything down for additional work while stating the original work would be covered and done free of charge. That was a great relief to hear ... except that was the last I heard. I have called the numbers I had previously several times across three weeks and left messages with no response. I left 1 star for work quality and value since they performed some work. I left a half star for customer service since they were friendly when dealing with them, but there was ZERO follow-up and have now been ghosted. Shameful way to reconcile an issue by offering to guarantee work and then disappear. -UPDATE: I was contacted by Quality Lawn Care to schedule the work as the rain continuously delayed schedules and they had to wait on the dirt to finish the landscaping. After a few weeks, we were able to get someone out and they completed the grading with fill dirt. I will have to rake the spots in the lawn that were filled as it contains a lot of rocks and asphalt chunks that I do not want to hit with my mower. I watered everything multiple times a day per their instruction, but grass is not growing in the spots that were fixed - likely due to the dirt condition. That said, I have revised my ratings accordingly."

"The Drapers (David and father Brian) of Jet Black of Tennessee provided an absolutely outstanding job of crack repair and sealing on our very old (30+ years) asphalt driveway. The driveway was in disrepair, with moss and cracks, and the east Tennessee weather was decidedly uncooperative, but the team at Jet Black persisted and found a dry season that worked for me. Brian went out of his way to make certain the old asphalt surface was cleaned and prepped for the sealant, and David and crew did a great job of crack repair with hot compound. "The project went very well.   Blake Grantham (owner) was very diligent throughout the project.  His dedication to keeping us informed for every step in the project, and his presence on site, ensured we had good communication for managing details.   As in any sizeable project, solutions to challenges involve choices.   The clear communications enabled us to quickly resolve each issue and to maintain continuous progress efficiently and effectively.   For example:  The location of drainage under the driveway needed to be established early in the project to be sure water from gutters would be well managed after the driveway was installed.   Another example:  trenching for electrical conduit required to enable later landscape lighting and electricity supply to the dock needed to be prepared, conduits layed, and electrical permit inspections completed before paving proceeded.   Due to our open communication, Blake was able to maintain project pace while ensuring the necessary steps were completed for a well executed project.   Another example:  The motor home has specific wheelbase and clearance measurements.  The slope of the driveway needed to be very critically managed to ensure the motor home would not drag its ends or its belly as it moves from the roadway to the garage.    Although we hoped to complete the project in an extremely short schedule, rain conspired to cause delay.   Nevertheless, we were very impressed with the achieved schedule and the quality of the work.   Blake tried to stay within the budget, but we made changes that required extra work.   Nevertheless, he remained faithful to the overall budget limits we established, managed each modification fairly and left us satisfied that he had treated us honestly with respect to price.    Pictures of the project have been taken, and if I can figure out how to post them, I'll do so later.
