"Issue #1: Started at first meeting in October 2014. Salesperson did NOT and consistently DID NOT HEAR what i was describing to him. Even with a wood sample. He kept going on and on and the quality of their work. So, to save $10,000 in buying new cabinets we decided upon this option.
Issue #2: Another person came out to finalize the measurements. Apparently Salesperson #1 did not LISTEN to what we wanted with replacing the drawers. They were just going to reface them. This would have left the drawers looking and working unbalanced and uneven and interiors being worn and ugly compared to the rest of the "new stuff". Salesperson #2 said it would be $450 extra to replace all the drawers with new ones. Wow. Ok. I needed them to work and look good. My old drawers have become crooked - since they were installed in 1988. I don't know WHY Salesperson #1 didn't suggest that at the initial meeting.
Issue #3: We were to receive samples of the wood we chose and the color we chose. At the initial meeting, we told Salesperson #1 that we wanted a stain with grain showing, not a flat paint! We said this at least 3 times. What do we get as a sample????? Yes, a FLAT painted piece of wood with no grain showing. So, it takes another 2 1/2 weeks to get another sample.
Issue #4: Approved sample. It is now the end of November! They said they wouldn't be able to come install until January! Yes, it took 3 MONTHS for this process start to finish. I could have received NEW cabinets in 6 weeks.
Issue #5: Installation time. They had to build a new cabinet for over the refrigerator. It was clearly CROOKED! The bottom of the cabinet was 1 inch wider by the time you got to the top of the cabinet! AND where the inside hinges were there clearly was a mistake and was all GNARLED up on the inside! HOW could a "craftsmen" leave such an obvious mess of a creation and not expect us to NOTICE??!?!? Seriously?! It looked like something a high school shop student did. We told them to replace the whole thing
Issue #6: They did not tell us during the initial visit that the build-ups of the cabinets to reach the ceilings were just FRAMES! The interior and the back (wall exposed) were not finished. Now the inside of the top shelf of my cabinets are the ugly burnt orange color of the previous paint job. I could have painted that if i had known it would be showing!!!!!!!
Issue #7: Upon final inspection 3 of the drawers were WAY off color to the rest of the cabinets. It looked like they were missing a coat of stain!!!! So, they ordered and replaced them 2 weeks later.
Issue #8: We were provided a can of paint to paint the inside edges of the inside of the frames of the cabinets to match the outside.. really? I have to actually do work on the cabinets i paid $15,000 for ????!!
The craftsmanship was definately was under par for what they told us. It seemed like they just wanted to get in and out without really taking a step back and looking at the work. Things still are uneven, but can't do anything b/c the laminate is glued down. Salesperson didn't even follow up the week the workers were here to check how things were going. Once he received the check, he didn't care.
If I had to make the decision over again, i DEFINITELY would have gone with NEW cabinets. I could have received them in 6 weeks, instead of a total of 3 1/2 months, consistent color, better workmanship and a lot less headaches.

"

"While the whole process took a long time, it went VERY well. Greg is a consummate artist. At the start he invited us to his workshop, and showed us around. He also showed us the interior of his home which he had built most of over the years. That is where we fell in love with the Cherry.
Greg took the time to answer all of my wife's many questions. He sketched out a proposed look for the pieces. And once we came to an agreement, he got to work.
When he had the initial boxes built, he invited us back to his workshop to show us how they were looking. He also provided us with a stained piece of wood so that we could find the appropriate flooring that we were going to have installed in the office prior to the delivery of the furniture.
There were some delays due to a number of issues, but Greg was always up front with us and kept us in the loop. When the 2 cabinets were finally delivered, our contractor's team installed them and they looked fantastic.!
The desk was the last piece to be delivered, and I am extremely happy with it!
I highly recommend Greg Wheat for your cabinet making needs! He does a pretty spiffy desk too!
"

"Wes does an amazing job. We provided measurements for our new cabinet work. After stopping at his shop to look at samples, we decided on a piece he had in stock for the vanity. When we had the cabinets completed and installed, he came out with the vanity top ready to go. After taking final measurements for the kitchen counter, he ordered, mounted the undermount sink, delivered and installed all on schedule. Both products came out beautifully and fits like a glove! Very professional. Definitely recommend and would use again!"

"We live on a hill, with a set of steps to navigate the front yard, that end in a landing at the bottom. They were destroyed in an accident. Steve and his crew at SS Creative were the contractor I selected to repair the work. They did an excellent job matching the new construction to the old construction. Although I didn't expect it, they finished the job on Christmas Eve! I intend to call them for future projects. Excellent craftsmanship!"

"There is no one I know that does better work than this guy. He took pride in what he did for me, and he is an artist with wood. The design that was discussed exceeded what I wanted. I didn t mind the cost because you should see the cabinets that he built for me. I don t think that there is anyone better anywhere."

"It went extremely well and hardly inconvenienced. If there was a problem, he addressed it right away. He was patient and answered all questions. He provided recommendations on lighting as well as the cabinet lighting that fit our taste. It was an excellent experience.
"
