"I had an 18 year old asphalt driveway that needed resurfacing. I started by getting estimates from several paving companies in my area. Most of them wanted to charge $3 per square foot for the resurfacing. According to research that I had done on the Internet, it should not be more than $2 per square foot. I finally decided to use the company that had installed the original driveway. His estimate was $2 per square foot. All of the companies had similar descriptions of exactly how they would do the resurfacing, so I was not concerned about the lower price. Plus they had done an excellent job of installing the original driveway and it had lasted 18 years without any problems. "After unsuccessfully attempting to contact two other local contractors by phone I searched on HomeAdvisor and while I was still looking at the website I received a phone call from Rich of RPS Seal Coating & Paving at about 9:00 am. He was about 25 miles from me, and agreed to give me an estimate at about 2:30 pm. He arrived here on time, called again to let me know that he was on his way, and gave me his price and I said "Do it." He meticulously sealed all of the cracks by hand and did a superb job spraying a petroleum based sealer. He finished up in about 2-1/2 hours. During that time I became acquainted with a hard working Christian gentleman who did a superb job in a very timely fashion. I strongly recommend him to anyone in the entire Mid-Hudson Valley.
