It involves breaking up the old concrete, digging up the soil, laying down the base and the pavers, and filling in the gaps. It is noisy, dusty, and messy. It also takes about a week to complete. You should warn your neighbors in advance and apologize for any inconvenience. You should also find an alternative place to park your car during the project. I was fortunate that my neighbors were very understanding and helpful. They let me use their driveway while mine was under construction.
