When deciding on the best shingle color, make sure you first see the big samples in person. I almost ended up with a "blue" roof even though the color I had originally picked was gray. "I contacted RK Roofing after getting a bunch of quotes that were not bad (and one that was terrible--looking at you, Feldco). The owner Jerry promptly contacted me and was able to get the quote done very quickly. The quote was incredibly reasonable, especially for a company that had such a great Angie's List rating. When they came to do the work, the crew leader Greg was a really nice guy and did a great job of communicating any extra work that needed to be done. They also took care of some various things that were wrong, like a vent that went to nowhere, a broken fan, and added some more mushroom vents for not much extra (and there will always be extra in any roofing project). One other small thing that I appreciated was that, at the end of the work, they just left and sent me an invoice in the mail; there wasn't any pressure to give them a check right then and there. Given that roofing is usually a really expensive repair and you're often pulling together money from different sources, I just thought that was an extra nice touch. Highly recommend."
