"We had a great experience with Ryan Hamilton Electric when they came to work on our building and in our apartment. We had discovered that the knob and tube wiring that we thought had been removed from our apartment was still present, and so we hired Ryan to remove the old type of wiring and bring our unit up to code. Ryan and his assistant Tim went above and beyond when it came to doing the work. Ryan explained very clearly to us exactly what the issues were with the knob and tube wiring and showed us exactly what had to be done to fix the problem. We had no surprises. While we were hiring Ryan to remove the old wiring, we also asked him about doing some other electrical work in our apartment. Ryan was happy to add on these further improvements and charge us only for the materials since we were already paying for the labor. Ryan listened to our desire for improved lighting and better outlets, and he presented solutions that would work for us and our kids. He found the perfect lighting fixtures for all the bedrooms and the bathroom, and he offered to improve lighting when it seemed necessary. The project took a few days; Ryan made sure we had the temporary lighting we would need in the evenings after he had completed work for the day. Ryan and Tim also cleaned up beautifully each afternoon when they were done with their work. Ryan and Tim didn't just do exemplary work. They were also warm, friendly, and affable, and a delight to have working in our apartment. We will actually miss having them around, but we were so impressed and delighted by their work that we plan to hire them again soon to improve the lighting in the kitchen and to install new outlets in the bedrooms. "Frances is pleasant to talk with and was punctual and responsive. My problem was that he's probably too busy. When I received his invoice, he charged me for the recessed lights that *I* had already purchased and then I had to prove myself by showing him the receipt. He charged me 2x the Home Depot price for Romex (which I had 100 feet of in my garage, ready to go). He put in dimmer switches that didn't match the coloring of my house project (old switches were almond, new switches should have been white) and then indicated he thought I wanted almond color since those were in other places (so were the white!). He should have asked what color I wanted, but didn't and then didn't offer to replace them. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, I'd not hire him again."

"I first used Giombetti about 8 years ago when I bought my current house which is close to 100 years old, and I needed to have the knob and tube wiring abated. They were consummate professionals that worked efficiently, and I've used them since then for various projects, but I never left a comment. I just hired them, again, to install a transfer switch, so that when the power goes out, we can safely attach a generator. They installed it quickly, and it has performed flawlessly. "The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."
