I was able to get an appointment for an estimate very quickly, and on the day of the appointment I received a phone call from Jeff letting me know he would arrive in 15 minutes, which was actually a little before his scheduled appointment time! Jeff looked at our leaning porch columns, told me how much two piers would cost, but told me in his opinion we should look make sure all our drainage issues were corrected first (which is what caused our columns to lean), then talk with a brick mason to remove the columns and have them either rebuilt on a better foundation or install lighter weight columns instead of putting in piers. I truly appreciated his honest feedback! He wasn't trying to sell me something that he didn't honestly think would be the best solution for our problem. This is invaluable! I highly recommend him after this experience for his knowledge, professionalism and honesty."

"Our driveway and circle in front of our house was gravel, and since we are on a steep hillside, was subject to washing out in a hard rain and also subject to damage from cars spinning their wheels coming up or down the hill. We contacted J Paving and Justin was the only one of several pavers who came when they said they would, gave and estimate and a time when the job could be completed. He gave two price quotes: one for asphalt and one for what is called and quot;tar and chipand quot;. The costs were more than I was hoping to pay, but I felt they were competitive with others whom I have talked to about paving. The tar and chip was less, and I did some research on the web, and generally this method is approved for areas with light traffic such as our driveway, so we went with that. <br /> The actual job went without a hitch. They began and finished on time, and we really were not inconvenienced. They spray on a layer of hot tar and pack pea gravel on it, which cures or hardens to a sturdy surface. Time will tell how well it holds up, I guess. But for now we are very pleased with the result. <br />"

Good with pets; would chain dogs for safety and unchain when finished (promised to watch and intervene if dogs become tangled or turnover water). Kept building waste in 2 large piles and cleaned up after major stages of work completed. Finished project in a timely manner with just a few weather related delays. Have had two minor problems with outcome (loose siding trim at top edge of wall that I understand can only be glued) and they were quick to come and address. Seem concerned that we are happy with quality of work--no complaints here. Would recommend to a friend."
