In 2001, Danny Bowling moved to Minnesota and founded Crest Exteriors. Soon after, he brought on Mike McClain and Scott Hurm as managers. Through the years, Crest has grown to be a highly respected general contractor specializing in roofing, siding, windows, gutters, decks, interior remodeling, new construction and insurance claims. "Horrible communication. Delayed work for months which cost us a lot of money. Brandon and Detailed by Design are not upfront about costs and their ability to complete projects on time. We met with the owner Brandon to address all the issues and finally agreed to a resolution which would have still been a loss to us however he reneged at the last minute and did not pay to replace the old furnace he tried to pass off as new. If you choose to use this business, check all receipts on "new" appliances they say they installed. We reported this business to the Department of Labor because of the shoddy work in installing the furnace and because the furnace was old when we paid for a new furnace. The dept of labor confirmed they were not licensed to install the furnace. We paid for a new furnace ourselves and a licensed contractor to install it. Overall a lot of issues and an absolute nightmare. We are still working on recouping some of our costs from this business."

"I called and asked a question about posts holding up my back deck, as to what needed to be done with them before they were covered up partly with dirt. Troy got back to me within minutes with a text explaining what was needed depending on what kind of posts they were. Then he informed me he was booked up for the rest of 2018. You can bet I'll contact him again if I need to do anything with the deck next year. I was impressed that he got right back to me even if it wasn't going to mean business for him."
