"A great experience and a huge improvement over repairs done at a dealership where we always previously took our van. We were able to bring in the van right away upon calling for a service appt. We received a phone call with a diagnosis and estimate within a few hours and the work was completed by later the same afternoon. We were told at the dealership that the broken heater would require over $900 worth of repairs and was very complex. Leighton's said that the problem was mainly a very dirty air filter that looked like it had never been changed, which was very disappointing since we had the air conditioner serviced and repaired at the dealership several times over the van's 200,000 miles! Leighton's fixed that and quot;$900 broken heaterand quot; for a tiny fraction of that cost...the entire repair, including the broken air conditioner fan AND an oil change came in at under $200. The van was vacuumed when we picked it up and the shop was clean, neat and welcoming, with polite and organized staff. Leighton's is now my go-to auto repair shop for all of my vehicles! <br />"

"We needed to increase the height of the railing on our stairwell for safety, so we had a custom iron rail made to go on top of the existing wood piece. The railing Loftus made is beautiful and exactly what we need. (Pic attached – we will be adding an additional wood top rail soon). Although we know the job was small for them and didn't expect to be in constant communication, I would say that the communication was a bit lacking. But – it did get made and installed! However, installers seemed to be hurried and caused a couple scratches in our existing wood top (which I had just refinished)."

At most chains it ends up over $45 with the fees and taxes, and they harass you to fix little things that you could do yourself for a fraction of the price. I only gave R & S a "B" in this category because I have a personal mechanic who will do it for $25, but he has become busy lately and I would expect his price to rise. <br /> All in all a very positive first impression of R & S. <br />"
