"I had originally submitted a review right after Whittaker Sealing and Paving completed the work on my driveway. Unfortunately, I submitted too soon because once the sealing dried and now several weeks later, the quality of the work is very poor. I know nothing about this industry and expectations of how this work is done. I spent an extra $500 for asphalt cover in a small corner of my driveway which was dirt and weeds. I asked before they worked on my driveway is there anything I need to do to prepare my driveway. Mr. Whittaker answered no. Anyway, there are huge weeds breaking through the new asphalt and I am so sick about it. Again, if Mr. Whittaker had told me that the weeds needed to be cleared, I would have done so right away and completely. I had no idea that weeds could create so much damage. I am very upset and disappointed. I did contact Whittaker and he stopped by and I discussed my concerns with him but I have not heard from him since. I also had the feeling, and this is just my opinion, that he was more concerned about getting the job done and fast (fit in as a minor project), rather than taking the time to let me know how I could prepare my driveway better. Reminder to business owners who are doing projects for homeowners: we do not know your industry, trade, or business. I am a teacher, I do not expect people outside my field to know how to teach effectively and caring for students. I asked the questions I knew to ask, but I cannot ask questions about aspects of your business I do not even know exist."
