"I am very unsatisfied with my experience. I called the office to talk about my projects and get a quote on the jobs that I needed completed. We discussed all three jobs. The office said this would take a day and quoted me a price. They charged me money to hold my appointment date. A month went by, I had to call the office the day before the appointment to make sure that someone was still going to be arriving the next day. The appointment was scheduled to start at 8:00 am. The handyman came to my house at 12:45. He looked at the jobs that were to be completed and said that he could only finish one of them and asked which of the three I would like him to do. He went out to buy materials and returned back to my house sometime around 3:00. He never even fully finished one of the jobs. He left my house at 5:30 and I was charged over $1000. I was also charged for a gallon of paint that he never even used because the job was never completed. I asked if someone would be calling to schedule the work to be finished. "We initially contacted The Patio and Fireplace since they were the original installer on our new home 19 years ago and had checked it 6 years ago. We were told that since it is over 15 years old they refused to service it but we were told of a $200 coupon that we could use toward the purchase of a new fireplace. We then contacted Ferguson Free Energy in Mars and they agreed to come out to our home in Kennedy township. Gary the owner, is professional, knowledgeable and most importantly, HONEST. We told him that it would shut down intermittently and he diagnosed the issue immediately as a faulty electrical connection. He also vacuumed, cleaned the glass replaced the embers and even painted a scratch that was on the unit. We definitely recommend them to anyone having an issue or in need of a fireplace because of Gary’s knowledge, and honest business practice. Simply put instead of Holmes on Homes he’s the Ferguson of Fireplaces!"
