"We bought a house in Plainfield from a family that was relocating, so the landscaping had fallen a bit by the wayside. The landscaped areas in the front and rear of the house were overgrown, and the large vegetable garden in back was a jungle of weeds. We decided to have a landscaper come assess all of the plant life, and also give us an estimate of what it would cost to do an overall cleanup for us before we move in. <br /> Unfortunately I played a bit of phone tag with the office before getting an estimate set up, which was a little frustrating, but overall worth it. Marco, the owner, met me at the house and went through each tree and bush with me, identifying what it is, discussing what it should look like, what it takes to maintain it, and particularly what will be good or problematic about it in the long term. This was INCREDIBLY helpful, and I especially appreciated that the recommendation of and quot;pull it out and replace it with something elseand quot; was kept to a minimum - he was never trying to get me to spend more money than was absolutely necessary right now. <br /> All told, we received an estimate for a one-time mow, edging, cutting down a diseased tree (not pulling up the stump), trimming all bushes, cleaning up the dead elements of perennials, uprooting the garden and one foundation bed along the back, and a full weeding. It would have easily taken us a whole Saturday just to deal with the garden. The total came out to $805, which we felt was reasonable considering all of the large-scale removal. <br /> The mowing and edging was done the next day. The rest of the work was done within a week. It looks FANTASTIC - everything he indicated they'd do was done, and the entire property looks fresh and clean. Our goal was to get everything cleaned up before winter, and then in spring we can make decisions on whether we want to replace anything, and it is certainly set for that! We would absolutely hire them again for any landscaping needs we have! <br />"

"They were very responsive to our emergency call. Another company never returned our call. The workers were working overtime and stayed until the tree was completely off the roof. Two limbs rested on the roof; the tip of the main trunk of the tree was tilted on the ground just 5 feet from the house. I noticed that if they removed one limb from the roof, the main trunk could pivot and fall into the house. They realized that also, and proceeded to remove other limbs on the other side so that the main trunk would roll away from the house. They worked quickly and had removed a great amount of the tree within 3 hours. I was disappointed that our lawn was trashed during the removal because they dragged the branches and limbs over the grass. The grass still isn't fully restored. It was, however, evening and they were in a hurry to be done by dark. It's also possible that the falling of the tree did some damage to the lawn. Their main concern was to get the tree off the house, and they did a great job. The other disappointment was that after the initial removal, they left a lot of debris in front of our main entrance and garage. We waited 10 days for them to return to complete the job and remove the debris so that we could park in the garage and use our front door. The scheduler said that because we were an emergency call, they came quickly and couldn't get back to complete the job right away because they had other previously scheduled jobs. That was understandable, though an inconvenience for us. A third concern involved the billing. I was initially billed for more hours than they performed. I called the manager and he changed the time so that it was more acceptable. I don't know if I was billed more because it was an emergency call and the workers were working overtime. That could explain the difference."
