"It went very well. I was kept well informed of the installation schedule and all went as expected and specified in the quote. The entire fence was replaced completely in one day and very well done. Staining was done at a later date to allow time for the wood to dry out. The price was competitive with two other quotes and post spacing was 6' rather than 8' as in the other quotes."

Customers say: True professional

"The whole experience was great. It started with the owner coming out to give me the price and answer questions. I asked many questions, and I could tell he had done many quality fences before because he was able to put me at ease with all my concerns. He had solutions for every situation I brought up. I could tell he would be a good problem solver should problems come up. I like to know how a company handles problem issues because that tells me whether or not I should do business with them. When I brought up a concern like contouring the ground so my dogs could not get out, he put me at ease that it would be done, and he said there are options to cover spaces between the bottom of the fence and the ground should the contour of my fence area be a problem due to my property contour. I asked about the double gate to make sure there would not be space where the gates come together. Again he assured me it would be tight. We discussed the quality of the powder coated panels and how the last thing they do is touch up any imperfections that may have occurred. I had many other questions answered , and it removed the "worry" from the situation. After talking with him and hearing how he does business and how he installs fences, I knew this was the right company for me. The installation went great. Once my job was near the front of the line, they called me periodically to keep me informed about the scheduling of my job so I would know what to expect. The installation team was very skilled at their jobs. From the setting of the posts to the final panel weld, they were professional, courteous, and super workers! They respected my property and left it clean like they found it. I will recommend Blacksmith Fence Company to my friends and family."

"The tear out and installation went well. The crew arrived on time, the job was completed within the estimated time we were given.
The fence is well made, the materials are good quality and they are one of the only companies that offer a 10 year warranty.
Cisco (the owner) came out on the last day to make sure we were happy with the project and he made sure the little things we were concerned about were taken care of immediately. In addition, he had his crew add some design details to the fence at no charge because he wanted it to have a nice drive up appeal. Overall, we got a very nice, solid fence for the money we spent.
Follow up: Fast forward one year and the erosion problem returned in an area they had reenforced the landscape wall. I contacted them by email three times with no response. I then called Cisco on his cell phone and left a message. No response.
I called back and was able to connect with Cisco who apologized and sent Hugo to my house to assess the situation. Hugo agreed that the issue needed to be addressed and it fell under warranty. This was Friday, February 26. Hugo told me he would contact me on the following Monday February 29, and setup a time for repairs. I called Cisco on Thursday March 3rd to find out repair timing. He again apologized for the delayed response and told me his crew would be out on Saturday to affect repairs.
At 11 am on Saturday, I called to determine when the crew would arrive and was told they were finishing a job and would be there soon. They arrived about 1 pm. The crew spoke broken English and between that and my broken Spanish, we were able to communicate. They made the repairs but did not have a clear work order so when I asked them to look at the other area Hugo and I had discussed, they seemed a bit put out. They did the repair but then quickly said thank you and goodbye (I feel) to ensure I did not find something else to keep them there about. (to be fair, that is just my perception but is that not what matters in a customer relationship?) I feel like they should come back with a load of dirt to backfill what was lost but I will not ask them to do that.
Bottom Line:
The fence is of very good quality materials, workmanship and design and should last a long time
I do believe the owner, Cisco will stand behind his work. I feel he is a man of integrity but has some people working for him that don't have the same level of commitment to customer service.
I think they lose track of some things because they have gotten very busy and do not have an efficient system to manage their business.
Their salesperson, Hugo, is young and needs to understand that well organized communication is critical to maintaining a happy customer. Had he stayed in contact with me and ensured I knew what would be happening and when, this review would have gotten MUCH better ratings.
Would I hire them again, yes but I would make sure they understood what I expect of them regarding communication.

"Express-Fence did a great job and could not have asked for anything better. Solid performance, flexible schedule, quality end results. They cleaned up the site after finishing, Took extra care to minimize overspray. Worked with me to ensure arrival time so I could bring the dog inside. Only a minor hiccup with the wood not evenly absorbing the stain and Express-Fence came back out and addressed the concern promptly."

"Hired Sergio to repair a wrought iron gate that got messed up during a foundation repair. I asked if he could paint it too. He repaired the gate, took the rust off of it, primed it with rust-proofing and painted it beautifully. I also had them do some minor maintenance on my wood fence. They did an exceptional job. I recommend him highly and will hire him again."

"Excellent quality work. And the two installers finished the project in less than six hours! I have done several fence repairs/installation in the past, but it was definitely in my best interest to rely on experts."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Little Elm, TX

Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.

Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.

Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
