"Dan Ragan and his crew did an excellent job in painting the exterior of our home. He and his team showed up as promised, completed the job within the quoted timeline and for the quoted price. This included power washing the exterior, painting the main body color and trim. He recommended using a satin finish for the main body color, which we love. His crew was extremely neat; not a single drop of paint and he upgraded our door bell button to match our coach lights at no additional cost. The job was completed November 2024 and nearly a year and a half later the job still looks great! We are thoroughly satisfied with his work and would use him again."

"Working with Ronnie and his crew was great! The cost of services was very reasonable, but more importantly, the work accomplished by Ronnie and his crew was excellent. We hired Ronnie the Painter first to paint the exterior of our home. They did such a great job on the exterior that we then contacted Ronnie and hired them to do the entire interior of our home (without even looking for other quotes). Based on the professionalism shown with the exterior job, we knew the interior job would also go well ... and it did! His crew showed up on time every morning and continued working until the job was done. No complaints at all. Would hire again in a heartbeat!"

"I was looking for a painter and learned about Jimmy from Warren Moss a builder/realtor in the area. I enjoyed working with Jimmy from initial color review, selecting which colors will go in each room- lighting, size, dimension Ect. Jimmy has a good knowledge of trend and which colors are in style or getting old. Jimmy’s guys were polite, diligent and on time. They painted quickly in the open spaces and took their time on move intricate areas of each room – where walls meet ceiling and baseboards. House was in Heather Trace subdivision of Gastonia. Grade: A"

"Daniel‘s painting crew was polite, punctual and professional. We had them to three rooms in a hallway. They removed all the popcorn ceiling and painted to perfection. We’re having the Mac in a few weeks to do the interior part of the garage and another room in the house my husband and I highly recommend them"

"During the course of the estimate & the work, all went fine. It wasn't until the weeks & months afterward that I noticed mistakes made by the crew that did the work; e.g., paint mistakenly applied in places (frames), paint spilled in some places (carpeting by closet), and -- most disappointing to me -- the seams in ceilings that were to have been mudded, smoothed and painted have, over time, become more and more visible. I don't know if the quality of the mud was such that it shrank over time, or what, but the ceiling areas that were to have been smoothed now have very visible seams. Part of the fault was mine in not doing a more careful check during the walk-through with the painting crew when they finished, so that I didn't notice many of these issues until later on. Credit goes to the owner, who offered to come to see the job afterwards, and I said he needn't bother; that said, the ceiling seams didn't show this bad until some months later."

"Moved to Myrtle Beach from out of state and needed the whole inside of my house painted. Had 3 estimates and I have really high ceilings. 1 company wouldn't do it because of that. Joel came in very professional and also recommended a great quality paint for us. When we came back in the house was totally clean and the job was incredible. His crew were also very polite. We would highly recommend them and will be having them paint our exterior of the house in the coming year."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Little River, SC

For aluminum siding, go with a high-quality 100% acrylic exterior paint. Start with an oil-based primer to ensure the finish adheres and shields the metal from oxidation and moisture. The primer seals the surface and provides the acrylic with a surface to grip. Skip latex primers or paints—their reaction with aluminum can trap bubbles and cause early peeling.

How long will painted aluminum siding last?

A well-done paint job on aluminum siding can last around 15 years, making the upfront effort worthwhile. Longevity hinges on solid prep: thoroughly cleaning the surface to remove chalky residue, dirt, and mildew so the new paint can adhere properly. It’s also important to paint when temperatures are between 50°F and 80°F, as extreme heat or cold can affect drying and adhesion. Steer clear of rainy days—moisture under the paint weakens adhesion and speeds up peeling or fading, which can significantly shorten the lifespan of your fresh coat.

Plan on repainting when the finish starts fading or leaves a chalky, white residue on your hand. Check the siding each year; if there’s a powdery residue on your palm, it indicates oxidation is underway on your siding. A fresh coat of paint stops peeling before it starts, boosts curb appeal, and keeps the metal protected.

Spray painting aluminum siding offers significant benefits compared to other application styles. Spray painting delivers even coverage, rapid application, and enhanced adhesion compared to traditional painting methods. This technique ensures every surface is evenly coated, minimizes labor time, and provides a sleek, professional finish that withstands weather and oxidation for lasting results.

The return on investment for aluminum siding is 70%. For example, a $10,000 aluminum siding installation will add $7,000 to your home’s resale value. Regional housing markets, the quality of siding materials, and ongoing upkeep—including repainting and repairs—influence final ROI. Investing in professional installation and regular maintenance ensures you recoup a significant portion of your siding costs when it’s time to sell.

Several materials can replace aluminum siding, each offering unique trade-offs. Vinyl siding requires minimal upkeep and resists fading, lasting up to 30 years. Wood siding provides classic warmth but demands regular painting or sealing. Fiber cement and composite siding offer exceptional durability and design flexibility, requiring minimal maintenance. Brick veneer and stucco create premium, long-lasting exteriors, but they come with higher upfront costs and increased installation complexity.
