"After having a troubling experience with another well known Baton Rouge roofing company, I was glad that Garcia Roofing was a completely different experience. The first part of my experience was meeting with Darrel Walker and going through his thorough inspection of my roof and over my options of repairing vs replacing. I asked a ton of questions and received all the information I needed to make my decision. The process was informative and stress free. The second part of my experience was the roof replacement process. I really appreciated the constant communication from the project manager, Jose Vargas. Jose was able to keep me up to date on the progress of the project and walk me through the work done afterward. I also received messages from the office project team with updates on material deliveries and repair dates. Going through any major home repair or replacement can be a very stressful task. I really appreciated the time, information, and attention to detail I received from the entire team at Garcia Roofing."

"These guys were amazing and fast. We had a roof leak on our flat roof addition because of the recent hail storm. They came out and gave us a free estimate, what they found was not just a roof leak but a complete re-roofing job. Luckily they only quoted up 1590 for the entire thing plus they would change any rotting wood if they found any, which they did. The offer came complete with a 5 year warranty on the entire roof as well. I would recommend these guys for any roofing job!"

"Their estimate was given months before the job was done and they still honored it. It was $5000 less than the next lowest estimate and I got over 2 dozen. When extra work was required their fee for it was very low. We had priced doing the work ourselves and their fee was less than just the materials at Lowe's or Home Depot. They were on time, courteous, professional and thorough. They do other home services and I won't hesitate to call them again. I rarely rate a business was this highly but there is nothing about Geaux Roofing that is not superior. I wholeheartedly recommend them. <br />"

"Repairs to my Mother's roof were good, survived a 4 inch rain fall in two hours. The work on the workshop went very well. It started to rain about an hour before completion of the job but the guys kept on working and finished. The temperature had dropped a lot but they kept right on until the job was done. In the dark and rain they cleaned up the site very well."

"The owner of Gateway roofing came to my house the same day as the insurance adjuster which was a great comfort to me. I received the first check from the adjuster for my roof that same day and they scheduled the roof for the following Tuesday which was wonderful. He came back the next day (a Saturday) to measure the roof, coordinate with subcontractor for inside repairs and roof installation. He was very punctual at all meetings and explained everything and answered any questions that I had. That Tuesday they were at my house at 7:30 am and the new roof was on by 5;30 pm. They cleaned everything up like they had never been there. All workers were professional and friendly. I would recommend Gateway Roofing to anybody."

"He was professional and called before he came so I would have a better idea of his timing. I paid for the estimate, but didn't have him make the repair because I decided to put a new roof on the house and used a different provider. <br /> We have used Homecare 360 frequently over the years for many different home care needs. We have always been pleased with the quality of the service they provided and happy with their prompt attention to our needs. <br />"

"<p>Ground Zero did a top-notch job from start to finish! It is rare these days to be inspired to write a positive review, so let me dive in with the details:<br /> 1. Sales - I visited their showroom in South OKC. Alicia was very friendly and knowledgeable about the shelters. I'm an engineer by trade and had many geeky engineering questions; Alicia was able to answer every question I had about the construction and design. She walked me through how the entire process is handled, and even described OKC's building permit process.  Was so impressed that I made the purchase on-the-spot.  The price I indicated ($2300) was a sales price for the "smaller" shelter, so your price may vary.  <br /> 2. Permits/Pre-Install:  Ground Zero provided pre-filled forms for the building permit. If you live in OKC you can go online and apply, then fax the forms. They (the City) will call you back for your CC number and give you the permit number (which you provide back to Ground Zero.   Ground Zero people followed up with me four days before install to ensure that everything was on-track.<br /> 3.  Installation:  Here is where Ground Zero hit it out of the park. I have to admit I was nervous about the install, as I've had more than a few installations that were total nightmares. My installers - Raul (Installer) and Xavier (Helper) were on time, ready to start immediately, and were very polite and professional.  Since I had a Pre-Tensioned Slab we had to call Suncoast to cut /re-anchor the cables latticed underneath the slab, this caused Raul and Xavier some minor delay and re-marking, but both of them worked seamlessly with Suncoast with the modifications and everything quickly was back on track.  Raul quickly had the slab cut and dirt removed within 1.5 hours, he was able to finesse the mini-excavator like a pro, probably could use it to pick up toothpicks if he wanted. Xavier was constantly moving and took care of the 1000 other smaller tasks, Raul and Xavier worked together like clockwork and rarely needed to talk.   When they were done they cleaned EVERYTHING, not a spot of mud anywhere inside or on the driveway, Raul used the pressure washer for a good 30 minutes just on the driveway.  While Raul hauled the dirt away, Xavier finished the troweling on the cement backfill leaving it with a nice raised feathering that looks very professional.   NEVER in four hours on site did I see either gentleman take a break to loaf, they were constantly moving and working non-stop. <br /> I'm very pleased with the professionalism of the Ground Zero Team from Start to Finish, and pleased with the final product.   No, I'm not a "shill" nor do I work for Ground Zero. I am just one consumer that is tired of writing bad reviews for bad service, and pleased for once to be able to write an outstanding Review!</p> <br />"

"Brian LeCoq of Allcraft Roofing recently installed a new roof on my house. His crew was excellent and set to work at 6:30am and didn't stop until they were finished at 3pm. Their cleanup was very well done. I got 4 estimates and found that Mr. LeCoq's offered the best price. My house looks great! I recommend Allcraft Roofing to anyone needing a new roof."

"I called them for an estimate and he came right out.  They worked with my insurance company estimate and provided me with prompt and professional service.  They came out and ripped off the old roof , picked up all the debris and nails and put on my new roof.  They did a great job and I would definitely use this company in the future for other construcion needs around my home.  Quick professional service.  No payment requested until the job was completed. <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Livonia, LA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
