"I called the Design Gallery (based on the reviews I read on this site) and met with Todd, the designer to discuss details of the project to re-face cabinets. The current cabinets were peeling due to a lack of proper staining/sealing. The cabinets were installed 3 years ago when we built our house so we're talking about relatively new cabinets with improper finishing. The cabinets were not top of the line but the framing was in good shape.The cabinet doors were removed and hauled to t he warehouse for painting, glazing, and distressing. The prep time that went into this project was very detailed so our house was "clean" in these areas at all times. Todd and Phillip are very skilled at what they do.
