"Jonathan and his team were very prompt and professional. They had to put in more work than originally anticipated to ensure things were installed correctly which I appreciated. I will definitely hire Jonathan and his team again in the future!"

"Everything went great. Chris took his time to get it 100% right and safe. We also had a couple of light boxes installed in our kitchen. This was our second time using OnTime electric and if/when the need for an electrician is needed we will only call them again. Great job."

"This company was awesome! They arrived exactly when promised and showed a true concern to do a quality job. This was not just installing a ceiling fan...it was in a bathroom, replacing a fan vent spot and required a trip in the attic to address the ductwork and block for the fan."

".The electrical service in this house dated to 1946. Start the vacuum cleaner and the lights would dim, that kind of thing. George gave me a price I liked and after securing the permit from the City he gave me a date when  the upgrade would take place. I've had George over for work in the past and this time he was every bit as good as he was the first time...maybe better. Everything that could go right, did go right. The work included a new high-rise service entry as well as a new ground rod and a whole bunch of new 20 amp circuit breakers. I'm very pleased.

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Lockhart, TX

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
