On March 4, 2025, I requested Eddy come to my house to take an inventory of the items to be moved and provide an estimate of the cost to do the job. He brought a folder with information about his company and various moving instructions. He stated that they charge $159 per hour. Moving supplies were $80 in the agreement. He said all supplies needed to move would be on the truck when the movers arrived. My charge was $80 for moving supplies. There would be 3 men on the moving truck. And if I did not complete my packing, his men would wrap, box, and pack the remaining items I had not gotten to. They would have blankets and wrapping plastic on the truck. He said that because I wanted to do most of my packing as possible. He said the $159 per hour covered the moving as well as the packing if needed. When his team arrived, I was 80% PACKED AND READY. MOVING DAY This is what happened with Eddy's Movers this morning. I am very frustrated because I'm packed and this is my moving day, 4-16-2025. It was very difficult getting in contact with Eddie. The young girl receptionist and the older woman in the background told me repeatedly I COULD NOT TALK TO HIM. His 3-man moving crew WOULD NOT GIVE ME HIS NUMBER. Finally, one of the office workers said they'd get him on the phone. He said he did not say they would pack any unpacked items. They wanted me to go buy boxes, come back, and pack the remaining items."

"I hired J&J VIP Movers to move me on 3/21/25 for a 1 bdrm apartment move within the same apt complex. Initially, Jason was professional and helpful, and answered all my questions. He even provided an excellent reference. I emphasized that 75% of my furniture was less than 2 months old, and I wanted 3-4 movers. However, on the day of the move, Jason, didn't answer the phone until 9 mins before my scheduled move. I wasn't sure they would show up until they arrived. I was given 2 movers instead of the agreed upon 3 movers. And because of the way things were handled, I ended up having to contract the movers and accept the liability for my move. At the end of the day, my move was not a priority. Thankfully, the day turned out OK, and I got some exercise since I had to move some things myself. Jason made a stressful day, even more stressful. He may be VIP, but he was not VIP for me."
