"These guys are amazing! I had a general idea of what I wanted, and Ryan and Brandon came out helped me bring my idea into reality. They’ve created a patio of pavers, a fire pit, a bench, a waterfall. They have planted trees and shrubbery brought in river rock, installed a couple of French drains where I needed them, and have worked with me every step of the way. In at least one instance, they got started with something where I told them to do it and then contacted me and said “it isn’t going to look right here” or “the way you want it won’t work. This is what I suggest”. And when it was done. It was better than I could’ve imagined. They are honest, reliable, professional, and proactive. I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"Excellent experience. Nathan came right out and provided us with an estimate that detailed the process and products used for the work that he would do. He communicated fully with us from day one and navigated weather challenges with skillful efficiency. He is dedicated to customer satifaction and we were thrilled with the work that he did for us. We never dreamed that our old asphalt could look brand new again! In addition to being responsible and reliable he is a really nice guy. We highly recommend Nathan and AAM LLC and we will continue to rely on his service and quality work in the future."

"My experience from start to finish was fantastic. Taylor was very responsive to my emails, and came out twice to our property to make estimates. We first were just replacing our driveway pavers, but decided to do our parking strip as well. They got me into their schedule really quickly, and despite the lousy weather, got the job done in less than a week. The work was fantastic; the paver layout was great, the placement of colored pavers great, and they did some great stuff with darker colors on the edges. These folks do a first-class job, worth every penny. I really happy with the who experience."

"It is my pleasure to recommend Woody’s Custom Landscaping. I had been wanting to have a patio with a pergola put in on one end of my backyard for quite some time. The area had a slope and over the years, I planted some junipers and other shrubs to cover it the ground. Finally I decided this summer to get it done. I realized it was rather late to have this done during the summer but I thought I would try anyway. So in June, I called three hardscape contractors, Woody being one of them and of course all three said that they were booked out through October. One of them wasn’t even taking any bids until July and didn’t even want to come to the house to look at the project. Instead he wanted me to send him pictures over the phone which I did. Three time he said he would call me which he didn’t and I would end up calling him each time; I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt but after the third time, I decided he wasn’t as customer service orientated as he advertised. The other contractor’s estimate was way out of my range. Woody was the only one who came through. He was very forthright – he said that they were also booked and probably couldn’t get to my project until September but he would try to fit me in when he could. I was impressed by his design ideas – presenting creative ideas in an area which I thought was very challenging. His estimate was very reasonable for the work that was done. Woody, with his lead, Darren and his crew team, actually started the project mid-August and finished the project probably in a week when the temperature was over 90 degrees. They removed shrubs, junipers, rocks and excavated the area to be worked on, put in an 11 x 11 (lower patio) & 4 x7 paver patio (upper patio), 19 x 2 retaining wall and built in steps to the upper patio, 2 paver pathways. I also purchased a pergola kit which they together. The whole project turned out great and I am very happy with the work. Woody’s crew team arrived on time every day, always cleaned up the area each day and were always polite, respectful and friendly. Thank you Woody and your crew team for the terrific job!"

"Unlike other contractors who bid on the projct, Elmer was very knowledgable about options. He listened to what I wanted, but also provided his ideas based on his experience (which I always ended up going with). He did not and quot;nickle and dimeand quot; me over small changes to the plan and his price was very competitive. 6 months later, everything still looks amazing and I can't wait to enjoy my new front yard this summer! The concrete and rock wall were very well done and he charged much less than some of the other bids for the same quality of materials. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Longview, WA

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
