"Elliot and his crew showed up as scheduled. They had some difficulties with the old slab being so porous, but worked through the day to get it right. The color came out great, but the gloss layer did not last. After discussing this with Elliot, he stated it was most likely due to the very old and porous slab. Elliot and his crew came back to the house, re sanded the floor and put a thin top layer on the slab. He stained and sealed the floor with a high gloss finish. He did all this at no cost to me and the final product came out great."

"Ronald Morse, despite primarily being a commercial concrete contractor, completed my residential carport slab within two weeks of first contact. He does what he says he is going to do. After the concrete was poured and the workers were attending the finish, I asked if they could refresh my driveway and grade the low areas of the landscape. The workers immediately scattered handling different tasks required to accomplish the additional requests the same afternoon. We cannot experss in words the high degree of satisfaction we feel with Ronald Morse Construction. The only negative input was lack of contractor innitiated communication about scheduling. This is actually a moot point due to the fact that Ronald did exactly what he said he would do, and more, within the time restraints requested upon our innitial contact. The initial quote for the slab was $3300. The additional requests while the crew was on site, delivery and distribution of 40 yards of aggregate materials, was an additional $1200. We give our highest recommendation to this company and will use them again very soon for another 20' x 36' foundation for a shop, and extension of the driveway to that site. <br />"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Loranger, LA

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
