"I hired Jovel to build stairs, retaining walls and planters connecting my existing patio to a new patio that I also hired Jovel's company to build. The stairs, retaining wall and planters were completed in September. In October, I had a licensed inspector at my home for another project and he pointed out that the stairs Jovel had built did not meet code. The inspector stated that stairs must be of equal rise and the lower and upper stairs were not in acceptable range with the other two. He also stated that three or more stairs required a handrail and that the stairs were POOR construction. Jovel has refused to correct the issue or refund any money paid. "Dos Amigos is a strong local business and has provided us with all of our lawn care services for the past 9 months. Mowing (excellent when on the grass, but mowed over set of matched hydrangeas and a complete bed of lavender around a mailbox-twice), blow (excellent), edging (very poor consistency), fertilization (excellent), weed prevention (average to poor, branch and debris removal (poor). Communication appeared to be strong, but there are many layers between the workers and the owner. These layers may explain the $1565 monthly fee they charged. Many salaries, but communication to the ones who actually do the work can sometimes not be as easily communicated, so the return on the fee, we found to be far from worth it. We could recommend them for large commercial projects, but not for homes, particularly homes with gardens in addition to lawns."

To date only one bush did not make it and he replaced it without any argument. Since then we have consulted him various times. Will use no one else."
