"It went great! We had 13 tasks that needed to be done. From easy things like installing fire alarms, scrape and repaint small areas, adjust door latches, recaulking, repairing a cabinet door, installing a dead bolt. Other things that were a little more tricky like drywall repair and repaint, and repairing a nick on the bottom of our bathtub. They also pressure washed the green algae off the north side of our house. These things were all done very well and we are very happy with both the work done and the men who did them (Jeff, Corey and Mike). They were professional and polite. I felt comfortable having them in my home. I want to give a big shout out to Jeff and Corey who tackled 2 difficult tasks: leveling the steps from our sunroom down to our patio (the house had settled and the steps sloped and the railing was pulling out from the wall) and replacing all of the joist hangers under my deck. They were clever in coming up with a solution for the stairs that did not involve lots of extra cost. One estimate I had gotten from a deck builder was MUCH higher. As for the deck joist hangers, there was very little clearance under the deck and Jeff and Corey had to lie on their backs to remove and replace the joist hangers close above them. This was not a fast job and I hated to ask them to do this, but they never complained and did a great job. I was very impressed. Thanks also to Mike who was very meticulous with the drywall in our basement. He had to come back more than once to sand and paint and now it looks great. I didn't have to ask him to come back, he explained to me why he needed to in order to get the project done right. That seems to be the motto of ChoreChaser: do it right. I saw that "can do" attitude in all of the employees I met, including Scott and David who did the estimates and even the lady in the office answering the phones. I will be hiring them for more projects as we get closer to selling the house."

Start at 8a Quit at 5p. Work like crazy in between.  Also impressive was the crew could speak the same quality and ?Do it Right? philosophy of the owner.  At the end of the day, the demo dirt, debris and clutter was cleaned up before they left. That practice happened every workday and greatly reduced dirt tracking and dust spreading.  Make sure your contractor does this and does it well. </blockquote> </blockquote> <br /> 3.    Keeping It Clean <br /> <blockquote> <blockquote> On their own, the lead workman (project manager) purchased a case of additional furnace filters and replaced them about 7-10 days.  Great move!  The conditions in this ?bare to the walls project were very very dirty and that?s good! This was incredible. </blockquote> </blockquote> <br />  4.    Unforeseen Problems <br /> <blockquote> <blockquote> In first week there were unforeseen problems.  Mike Eid, Owner, consulted with his crew and outside professional tradesmen when necessary so that he could discuss options and guide us to a good decision.  Because it involved foundational plumbing in our 56 year old house we wanted it fixed- fixed right.  This instilled even more confidence in OHII.  Mike Eid was always looking to minimize additional extra expense for us yet make sure that the solution was in line with our expectations of quality. </blockquote> </blockquote> <br />  5.    Attention to Detail <br /> <blockquote> <blockquote> Their quality is demonstrated even the smallest things. The framing carpenter noticed that one of the vertical stud was slightly splitting and took it upon himself to mail a ?sister? stud to it to shore it up. This attention to detail was typical in fixture placement, stair case finish carpentry, wood floor installation, tile work and painting. We are fanatics with such detail and so was OHII.  Good combination. </blockquote> </blockquote> <br /> <strong>Bottom line:</strong> The owner and crew at Ohio Home Improvement are among the best that we ever have dealt with. They insist on ?Done Right- Done Well?; they arrive 7:50a and hammer and saw by 8:00a; consult if there was a question; clean-up every day; protect the homeowner from drastic surprises and STAY WITHIN BUDGET. Our lower level is fabulous and exceeded our expectations. <br /> <strong>Conclusion:</strong>  With our highest recommendation, if you are considering small, medium or large renovation or additions to your home give Ohio Home Improvement a call and opportunity. You be glad you did because it will be done right and you can sleep at night. <br />"
