"Estimate given by Owen Werden vs text and email on his letterhead after he presented with a resolution to standing water in my backyard. Brochures provided from Owen representing himself as NextLevel Home Care. Original start date scheduled for 5/15 however changed by Owen to May 22. I received call the day prior to the work being done saying he was going out of town and that his employe/partner Lavar would be doing the work. Lavar Warren and another did the work over the 2 days. Owen requested 50% upfront to buy supplies. I gave the employee Lavar $700 cash on May 15 and Lavar signed the receipt as doing business as Next level that he had received the first $700 cash. I expressed concerns to Lavar about the leveling of the dirt. Lavar assured me that with time, settling would not be an issue. I paid the remaining second $700 balance due to Lavar per Lavar s request when work was complete for a total of $1400 paid. Within a few days of completion I expressed to Owen my visual concerns He came to my home and reviewed the work and told me that he felt the work was adequate. Shortly after we had about 1/2 inch of rain in which I videoed the rain coming out of the house gutters and running down beside (not into) the newly installed drains causing additional troughs in my yard. As the dirt has settled the humps in my yard where the drains lay under ground are getting higher. I can stand on the hump and bounce on the plastic drain pipe The dirt has settled or ran away from the edges of the drain openings and pop up emitter and basins leaving them unstable. The basin on the north side of the yard is round and the one on the South is square one is green one is black. not even matching. I texted the video of the rain runoff missing the drains to Owen his reply was Im so disappointed. This is not an accurate representation of my company. Shortly after Owen brought out another man to look at it and the general consensus was that the employee did inadequate work and installed incorrectly but now decided that drains will not resolve the water problem in my back yard. The two of them would research and get back to me. I start wondering if this business owner really knows what he s doing that he has to get another s advise. After not hearing in 2 weeks I reached out to him. His response was to do additional drains and/or to bring suit again the former owner of the home. At this time It was obvious to me that he was not going to take responsibility and I told him I was not interested in hiring him to do more work and I wanted my money back. Owen replied that I should take it up with his employee since he was acted on his own . Apparently there was a falling out with the employee and the employee keep all money I had paid. My final text to Owen is that I hired NextLevel home care not his employee and that I did not trust his abilities and would not hire him again."

"They said all subcontractors they tried to hire wouldn't do it for that low of price. I suppose, since I was informed it would require 200 gallons of stripper at $50 per gallon and 200 gallons of stain at $50 per gallon to do my house...that alone happens to come up to $20,000. Although they claim to give an itemized list of materials, I never did. Step one is protection of landscape, until chemicals are place directly on the lawn, then I'm told "what can you expect with this much chemical?" and step two is to ensure the wood isn't feathered during pressure wash, which is was badly damaged. Out of site, out of mind seems to be a general theory, as well as complain about caulk color, and not even follow through with stripping and caulking (just replacing that which was missing). I was also appalled when they made it seem that $800 window screens and adding new landscaping mulch was doing me a favor...since they failed to protect the landscaping and never removed the screens before blasting cedar pulp into the screens. I honestly don't think they know what they were doing, and just pretended they did."

More than 25 years of experience. All services to make your home more comfortable. Full General contractor specializing in kitchens, baths. basement, decks, additions, and all other construction needs.
"The remodel was supposed to take 6 weeks and was not finished after four months. Contractor bragged about having 13 jobs at the same time as mine and lied to me on several occasions regarding aspects of the job. I found out that he has had several liens put on his house by the IRS/South Dakota state government, circuit court judgements for not paying contractors and went through bankruptcy."
