"Was charged 3x more than the quote with no previous notice or explanation!!! ??? After patiently waiting until 6/20 for a “spring” irrigation startup due to scheduling, was told by the technician that they would setup the system and come speak with me if any other charges or repairs were needed. Technician left with no communication and received a $250 bill the next morning with no choice. Customer service was terrible and received threats that they would trespass and remove parts from my system if I did not pay. Payment was made within 12 hours of receipt since, but terrible experience! So many opportunities for a more positive customer experience- even to apologize that the quote was exceeded without notification and no repair needs were indicated during the service ( even with explicit commitment to doing so ). Instead of owning it, the tone was abrasive and asking if I’d like the equipment removed from my property. I almost never write reviews but don’t want anyone else to unknowingly experience this feeling?"

"We hired Jake Servais and his company on 11/26/18 to do snow removal for the season for $500. The first time the weather required snow removal they never showed up, and then called to say they were having mechanical issues and would it be ok if they didn't come (only about 2" of snow so I said ok). They did come 1x and remove some snow in late December. Then, on Monday (1/28), we got significant snowfall while we were out of town. I was assured via text from Jake they would be on it, as we had grandparents watching our kids. We had NO SERVICE. And then I went searching to see if we had been victim of fraud by this company. I found Jake Servais facebook page where he lists in early January the sale of all his snow equipment. I have no idea what is going on, but have made multiple attempts by email, phone and facebook messenger to connect and have got NO RESPONSE. I am looking into calling the police and want a refund of our $500."

"It was a great experience working with the entire Biota team. Our designer Elizabeth had a great vision for our space and was able to utilize our yards elevation and different spaces to their full potential. Elizabeth was great at helping us find materials that fit our budget, style, and answered our questions along the way. Our build crew was fantastic as well. We got daily updates on project progress, and they were so knowledgeable and patient answering our questions. Everyone at Biota really takes pride in what they do which is so hard to find. We are so happy we entrusted Biota with our yard and look forward to completing the next couple phases of our property.
