"Rick was capable and honest (he explained that what I thought needed replacing, was actually in decent shape). Then he replaced the part that actually needed attention."

"Great company to work with, install team was awesome and very good. Extremely happy to have chosen them add a company. Price was very comparable to the quotes I got but the work itself was awesome. Had a paver patio installed on uneven ground, and they handled it all perfectly."

"4/7/26 review update The landscaper did a wonderful job all the way up into the point where he did not finish the job. I had rock laid out and he was supposed to spray it, which was about $250 and has not completed the work yet and that was two months ago. I have asked for a refund from him if he?s not able to do the work and have not heard anything back. I appreciated the team?s hard work! I?m super happy with the project and I would hire them again. Totally recommend them."

"Cutting Edge was great to work with from beginning to end. We went in with a budget and asked them to design the project that fit into that budget. We were looking for something that was kid and dog friendly and low maintenance in the back and presented nice curb appeal in the front. They removed the old yard, numerous bushes and trees and leveled the back yard for the project. Cutting Edge's workers hauled in loads of rock, worked fast and did a great job. They tweaked the plans when ever we presented them with some thoughts as the work progressed. They turfed a play area portion of the back yard and then took the leftover scraps and installed turf areas around "dog peaks" in our fence that allow our dogs to lay on turf as opposed to mud, dirt and grass. A bulk of the landscaping was rock (both big river rock and smaller rock), but they installed a level crushed gravel area for the garbage cans to sit on and look nice. At the completion of the project we liked it so much we asked them to add a similar area for the BBQ to get it out of the walkway.  Despite running overtime on the project, they gladly added the BBQ landing at the last second. The front yard is a more traditional grass/plant landscape with some nice "path rocks" that they threw in at the last second. The front view of our house went from slightly embarrassing to looks d*** good! We started the process with Nick coming out to bid the project and give us some ideas on what he thought would look good. His insights gave us a pretty good feeling of what the end result would be and he pretty much nailed it. Justin took over when the work started and was great to work with when we needed to bounce ideas or thoughts off someone. His workers were prompt, courteous and hard working. They cleaned up after leaving each day and left everything perfect when the project was done. I highly recommend Cutting Edge if you have a landscaping project that needs to be done. <br />"

"We accepted 2 different bids from Graham Landscaping. The first was for irrigation and hands down Paul was amazing. He communicated well, was responsive, and went above and beyond at every turn for us. He was personable, professional, and an expert at what he does. We would give Graham Landscape all 5's for the work done under that particular contract. The other bid was for putting in the landscaping. This contract was the one that pulled the overall rating down from all 5's. The person we were dealing with up front was less responsive than we would have liked and we didn't feel the communication was where it needed to be. The crew that came out to do the actual work were fabulous - the sod went in well and looked really tight and clean, the Arborvitae were straight and centered, and the azalea (and 1 rose) were planted exactly where we wanted them. This crew was on time, worked efficiently, cleaned-up after work each day, and communicated well throughout the project."

"This company was great. From planning to watching them put it together. They were fast too. I thought a week or so but only two days and then to wait for the gutter install and final, that was it. I would use them again."

"The owner, Darrick, really listened to what I wanted done and the desired result. He brought a team and they knocked off the front and back yards in under an hour. It has NEVER looked so good. He understood my "low upkeep" vibe, and the nature of my eco lawn. He did not use Roundup, but treated the weeds organically. I have no idea if that will prove to keep them at bay, but as I said, I am not a yard fanatic. I will absolutely call him again."

"I was selling my house and called JC for some estimates. After listening to me, he recommended I sell the house without doing the repairs. He reasoned that in the current housing market, it would save time and money to NOT do the repairs. I'm so glad I listened to him! JC was EXACTLY RIGHT. He saved me a ton of money, time and headaches. What a professional! He took time and energy to give me great advice at no benefit to himself. That is a true class act. I can't imagine a more trustworthy, personable contractor."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Marcola, OR

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
