"This project was our second project with Ruben. It entailed installation of a new walking path to our screen porch and the addition of handrails on each side of the steps to match the handrails on the front of our home. Ruben subcontracted the stone work for the walkway and managed the handrail portion of the project himself. He oversaw the entire process from beginning to end. It was all done in a matter of a few days and the quality was great. We are very pleased with the project and will definitely hire Ruben for future home projects. "

"He was not knowledgeable about the job. The helper he had with him was walked around my yard taking smoke breaks every 10 mins and kept throwing his cigarette but all over my yard. The contracted painter got over spray all over my walls while painting the cabinets and used pain remover to get the paint off my painted different color wall. The house was new purchase so I was not aware that the cabinets were greasy from previous owners cooking. Instead of the contractor telling me that was causing a problem, he kept trying to paint over it for two days straight without saying anything. He continued expecting different result from same exact action. When I asked why didn't you just say something so I can hire cleaning company. He then says, well the heat kept coming on causing his paint to drip. Again I asked why didn't you tell me. He continued to try over and over. He stole some of the paint he had me purchase to do the job. He painted lots of it without priming, trying to cut corners. I had to fire him after 3 days of destroying cabinets and walls. I had to hire different painter and paint that painter 1300 to fix his damages. Insisted that he receive 30% deposit and now I see why. Refused to refund my money. Currently trying to take this painter to court to sue for refund. Had the nerve to show me photos explaining how he did great job painting cabinets on different job prior to my destruction job he called Painting staring, "this was my best work ever." I asked why didn't you remove the doors of my cabinets as shown in the photo to paint them. Why try to paint my cabinets without removing them. He had no answer. The job he showed me was web shopped, not his work as he claimed. Wanted to paint only one side/outside of the cabinet doors. Says he didn't know I wanted both sides of the cabinets painted. This job costed me 1300 just ro fix what he did wrong. After a week later of trying to only ask for refund, this painter still hasn't refunded my money."
