"Stump grinding is an art. He was finished in two hours including grinding above ground roots extending from trunk. Machine was larger than rental units- and came with a skilled operator. Be prepared to manage loads of chips."

"Everything I have had them do has turned out excellent! They are very professional, know what they are doing, and do an absolutely wonderful job! I have hired them at this point for my lawn twice a month. And if I ever need anything done on my trees, bushes, etc again, I will definitely be hiring them again for their services! ☺"

"Excellent all around, quote, promptness, clean up. Payment included stump grinding, which the crew was unable to do 3 weeks ago. Gary has reassured me that it will be done and explained the situation to me. Rating will be an A+ and I will be even more pleased when stump is removed. I plan to use Accurate Tree and Landscaping Service again for trimming and maintenance."

"I had a very significant drainage issue around my property that had caused severe water damage to several rooms inside the house. This had been going on for years and I needed a solution. Team Green stepped in and solved my problems. The project went very smoothly once underway. The lead time was about 7-8 weeks, which was the only downside. Everything from start to finish was thoroughly explained to me and if I had any questions they got answered quickly. I even called them to ask questions about another provider's bid/project and they had no problem explaining the issues to me. The install crew worked very hard clearing large tree roots and rocks to install the drain. Several gutters, including two of my neighbors, were directed into the drain, which was made of high quality six inch pipe. The rock used to cover the drain looks great and they reseeded any areas disturbed by the install. Since the install I have not had a single issue with flooding inside the house. The drain can handle a lot of water with no problems. I am very happy with the outcome and would recommend Team Green Outdoor to anyone.

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Mascoutah, IL

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
