We are a small local owner operated business, all of the work performed is done by myself with employees no sub contractors are used for carpentry work. My work mostly consists of custom kitchens and built-in mill-work along with trim work, repairs and occasionally some furniture. "Bob and his team are amazing ! They are kind and patient and can handle anything ! I was supposed to get tile flooring, but when there were complications (unrelated to them) and we had to completely change over to hardwood, their team worked with us with total ease no matter the obstacle. They give fantastic results at very reasonable prices. But more important (in my opinion) is how they really are just good people. For example, after dropping off my keys to the guys so they could start the hardwood flooring, I was driving to work and pulled over for a deceased animal. I was on the phone trying to figure out the best course of action when Bob walks up to me ! He also just pulled over to help the animal before even realizing his customer was the person next to it. Bob took over and brought the animal to a local animal hospital to be checked for a microchip and cremated. Actually so wild how positive of an experience I had in even the most stressful times thanks to Bob and his team. If you guys are reading this, thank you so much !!!!!!!"

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures equal access and usability for individuals with disabilities. For example, people in wheelchairs or using walkers should have reasonable physical access to public spaces, like sidewalks, businesses, and government buildings. It’s not that the doorway itself needs to be 32 inches wide, as the door hinge and other hardware may reduce the actual clearance by a few inches. In most cases, the door frame needs to be wider than that so that a person has at least 32 inches to pass through when the door is fully open. Most wheelchairs measure 25 to 36 inches in width.
Along with the cost of widening doorways, you may also invest in several other common house alterations and modifications. The average total cost to build a handicap-accessible house ranges from $700 to $8,000, depending on what changes you want to make. Adding grab bars and handrails can cost up to $500 while installing a stair railing costs $900. Installing a stair lift costs $1,500 to $5,000, whereas installing an elevator costs as much as $60,000. Other changes may involve lowering thermostats, remodeling bathrooms, widening hallways, and installing wheelchair ramps.
