"I wanted to upgrade some concrete around my house, I needed a new driveway, a wall and walkway. I was walking in my neighborhood one early Fall day, and I observed a crew of men doing concrete work. They had done two different jobs over a two-week period. I observed their work and it was striking. I asked the gentleman for a card and asked him to come look at my project. That crew was the Christopher Brother’s Concrete Co. The gentleman was Ed Bregman , the owner. He came promptly, and I described to him what I wanted him to do. He began to take measurements and make calculations. Once he finished, he came to the door asked us to come out and explained what he saw and what was the best approach to take preliminarily, but that he would go and take more calculations and put together a proposal. Mr. Bregman came the next day and explained in detail what needed to be done. We accepted. When they began the work I was impressed that Mr. Bregman was the first person there. That was every day throughout the completion of the project. He oversaw every aspect of the entire project. They worked every day until the project was completed. I could not have been more pleased and felt that they had done a fantastic job. We were impressed to such a degree that I asked him about the back of the house and what he thought it would take. I told him to keep us in mind for the following Spring. He put together another proposal which we accepted, we put in a new barbeque area, an extended concrete patio running the length of the back of our house as well as concrete steps going up to a terrace in the back yard. Once again, we were so pleased at the quality and detail of the work. Mr. Bregman was hands-on, (consistently the hardest working person on his crew) prompt, onsite early, working, demonstrating a complete understanding of each aspect of the task. His team worked every day until each job was completed. He was committed to the highest quality throughout and demonstrated it throughout both projects. For example, his team was constructing the base of the versa-lock wall that would serve as the foundation of the barbeque area. He was working on another portion of the project on the other side of the back of the house. They were well-along and he came and inspected their work. It looked fine to me but he was not pleased and had them start again. He wanted it to be right. I have had neighbors come and admire the work done on the front and back of my house. I had two friends that both were contractors, one working in new construction and the other an electric contractor, and both asked me who did my concrete work. They were impressed with the quality and attention to detail, assessing the craftsmanship that they observed. The quality of the Christopher Brothers work has not only increased the value of our home , but also the aesthetics. I have spent the last two summers having coffee on my new patio each morning, and enjoy the patio many times throughout other portions of the day."

"Initially I had requested that Gary present to my home to provide me with an estimate on reducing a 1-2" high, roughly 20-24" long lip in my basement floor that had been the cause of an injury that occurred in my basement. Gary presented promptly to my home on the day the estimate was scheduled. I was very pleased with his overview of the work that he would perform; admittedly, I wasn't certain if the price was right because he was the first estimate I got. However, Gary would ultimately be the only estimate I would get because I found him to be very likeable and honest; he showed genuine concern when I discussed the injury that took place in the basement. I liked Gary so much that, on the day of the estimate, I would provide his name/number to a friend who had discussed with me an issue he has with his driveway. On the day of the work, Gary called me ahead of time to make me aware that he was on his way, and he arrived in the timeframe that he had provided me during the visit. He brought his employee Jeff along who was just as professional and courteous. After performing the work, Gary asked that I come down to the basement to give my opinion on what I thought. I informed him that I believed there was still a slight lip in the floor and that I was concerned that it would continue to present as a trip hazard. I hated to ask that he reduce it down more but Gary agreed with no hesitation. A short while later, Gary asked that I come down and view the work again--it looked great! Admittedly, I was so pleased that shortly after Jeff and Gary left, I texted a picture of the work to my wife, mom, and dad. "Excellent ... Robert promptly came over and provided a reasonable quote to plaster the kitchen ceiling due to an upstairs bathroom leak that resulted in the plumbers knocking it out. Since this is an older home the plaster needed to have a swirl pattern. I also mentioned painting was needed for the fix and Robert brought in his son who does painting. After discussions, I decided to also have the kitchen walls, chair rails, baseboards, and basement stair walls painted. This price too was reasonable. An appointment was made for a week later for the plaster work and the painting a week after that. Robert and his son and the 2 helpers finished the job promptly and professionally. The plaster with the swirl pattern blended in with the rest of the kitchen ceiling nicely."
