"We had our old cement slab patio removed and replaced with patio pavers and block steps built. The project turned out beautiful! Adam is very responsive and professional and delivers top-level quality. There was a lot of care and thought that went into the project to do it right. Very detail-oriented and has an eye for design. He also brought in dirt and grass seed at the end of the project to finish up the area around the patio and left it ready to enjoy. Made everything very simple for us and got it done timely."

"I contracted DeGain Masonry to do a paver patio in my back yard. The finished project turned out better than I could have ever expected… very precise and meticulous. Clint was quick to return my calls, started and finished the project when promised and was more than accommodating in every way. I am a particular customer with high expectations of those I hire. That being said, I would highly recommend DeGain Masonry."

"This company did a wonderful job on the pavers for the patio. It seem to be a difficult job due to the slope we have in the back yard. They executed the job great. We are very happy with the results. I would recommend them to my family and friends any day."

"I wanted a back door cut into my house where none existed before, so I went to Angie’s list and really studied who could do it for a reasonable price and a good job. I came across Superior Carpentry and read all the reviews, there were probably 100 or more and I only found one so so review, the rest of them were A+ and they couldn’t say enough about what a good company that is. James owns the company and believes in doing quality work no matter what kind of job he takes on. He is extremely punctual, thorough, and takes pride in doing the best job he can do. He listens to everything the homeowner has to say and takes into account the smallest detail. He said my job would probably take two days and he was done in one day. I am so impressed with this company and this owner that I can’t say enough good about the job that he has done for me. He certainly is very reasonable for what he does and he cleans up everything after he is done. I will not hesitate to have him working with me again and I will not hesitate to tell people how good this company is...I give this company a 10 which equals an A+!"

"They were very courteous and professional. Work area always cleaned. In fact, they took the time to clean and re-use existing brick so bay window would retain aged look and flavor of older home, which also saved cost of new brick. They made sure to match the color of the windows caulking."

"Wallace Landscaping did an excellent job! They completed the work in the amount of time they originally told us and for the price they quoted. The owner personally came out to give us a quote. He also came back to answer questions my husband had. The owner also stopped by to check on the progress of the job several times while the work was being completed. And finally, he stopped by after the job was done to make sure it was done properly and that we were happy. The workers were pleasant and hard working. They also checked to make sure they were doing the things we wanted done throughout the job. We will use Wallace Landscaping in the future for all our landscaping needs. I am pleased to recommend them to everyone I know."

"The design turned out great, matches my back yard and house (house and yard are in typical late 90's early 2000's subdivision with vinyl sided houses). The installation was completed quickly and was high quality. The crews straightened up each day they left and did a full cleanup upon completion of project. Had more in the design than I was able to implement this year. I will be doing some of it myself this fall and will be calling Bay Landscaping back to complete more next year. I have been told that they are on the high side for pricing but it was worth every penny to me."

"<p>H & M Landscaping installed a drainage area for me in 2013.  I called Brian, as the ground had settled and it was not functioning as installed.  Brian came out and looked at the problem himself, and shortly (about 3 weeks) he had some of his crew to do the repair.  Brian and his whole crew know what they are doing and how to do it.  I would recommend them for any size job.</p> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Midland, MI

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
