"I was extremely pleased with Elite Roofing Solutions! The team that replaced my roof was professional and courteous. They did a great job with cleanup after the roof was replaced. Also, Lynch Services did an amazing job at repairing my ceilings and painting on the inside of my house."

"From my initial contact with Will all went extremely well. After checking with the shingle manufacturer of my existing shingles, I found that I had faulty shingles and had to go through the process of filing a claim with the manufacturer. This put a major kink in planning for a new roof, but Will and the Excellent Roofing crew were not impatient and were very helpful. Finally, the time came for a new roof. I was provided with a detailed list of what would be done, except for what might need to be repaired under the existing roof. I was, however, given a detailed list of the cost of possible repairs to the decking. The crew arrived at the scheduled date and time and began its work. The machinery used was remarkable--NOT two men and a wheelbarrow! State of the art machines were used to collect the debris as it was removed from the roof. There was absolutely no mess, and my newly landscaped foundation plantings were not disturbed. Will provided us with estimates of several shingle types as well as additional guarantees and options we could select or reject. We decided to use a designer shingle that was was a couple of steps up from the basic roof and to include several upgrades for ice and leak protection as well as warranty extensiosn. (We have been plagued by leak problems for years.) The new roof was installed, and it is beautiful. We could not be happier with the result. The product and the workmanship are, as the name says, Excellent Roofing!"

"They came out on Monday, a little later than promised and went right to work. They had the old roof off in two days, cleaned up afterwards and hauled all the old shingles away. As they were removing the old roof, it was discovered that one of the eaves had some rotten wood and they repaired it and gave me a good price for the repair. I am very pleased with the quality of work performed. They even cleaned all of the gutters for me."

"He is always willing to get to the true root of the leak and spend time crawling the roof while I tap from the inside where the leak is coming from. He is always prompt and efficient. If his fix doesn't get the leak the first time he is willing to come out over and over again. He has always fixed the leak right the first time so have never had to have him come out again for the specific leaks he has fixed. He rocks! I can't say enough good things about him."

"It went well.  These guys were through.  What they told us is the exact same thing that the insurance company adjuster said also.  The sad part is that we got the roof replaced about a month after they did they minor repairs! <br />"

"The crew arrived bright and early on the day scheduled and got right to work.  I was very impressed with how professional the crew was.  Each person knew exactly what they were to do and they did it.  They worked hard all day and by the end of the day I had a new roof, which also included all new decking, and they had cleaned up all the mess.  My house was built back in the 40's and Mark Ham explained everything to me in terms I could understand.  He even showed me each phase they were doing as it was done.    I couldn't be happier that I chose this company to do the work.  I highly recommend them.  <br />"

"We felt like important, valued customers. Time was spent educating us on materials and options, all of our questions ans concerns were answered, and time was spent to ensure we felt comfortable and safe choosing them for our new roof. We were not using an insurance claim, and chose Masters Roofing because we believed in their quality of work and their care for their customers. Andrew is the rep we worked with and he really took his time to make sure we were educated in all the Roofing options available. He did not oversell, wasn't pushy, and seemed genuinely interested in finding the right fit for our home and needs. Everything from meeting at the show room, the education provided, the time to address concerns, time answering questions, the visits to our property to meet the first time, the follow ups during and afterwards all made it such a smooth process and purchase. We felt we had focus and attention every step of the way, and not just getting a contract signed, but had them throughout the entirety of the process. We were so impressed watching the Roofing team working together as they did. Very hardworking crew, paying attention to detail, and cleaned up very well. Took time to make sure none of the property would be damaged in any way. It was super impressive! And Andrew came out every day the crew was there to check on progress, check on us, and even had a drone fly around taking pics from all angles to ensure proper work & have progress pics that he even showed us! Total transparency throughout the whole process. I brag on Master Roofing to everyone. Thank you Masters Roofing for making such a stressful, difficult time better with your knowledge, kindness, professionalism, hardwork, communication and commitment to your work and customers! You care & it shows!"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Millington, TN

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
