"We interviewed a few contractors and most agreed on the same strategy for dealing with the problem: an internal French drain and sump pump. We chose Scott from Affordable Masonry b/c he seemed the most experienced in dealing with this issue. His explanation of the problem and what he would do to address it was very clear. His write-up of the proposal was brief but contained all the useful information. He was open to being asked questions and gave truthful responses. We agreed on a date and Scott and two other men arrived promptly at 8:30 to begin the job. They worked very hard all day and did everything they said they would. An unexpected problem arose and we negotiated a reasonable compromise. They finished the job around 5:30 and the basement was even cleaner than when they began the job. A few tests of the new system demonstrated that it was working as planned. We feel confident that we have addressed the issue and confident that we could call Scott if a problem arose again."

"It went great. We were in good hands with the Ranieri family throughout the entire project. They are extremely reliable, diligent about keeping us informed about the process, and deeply knowledgeable about concrete deck installation and pool installation and care. Our 30+ year old 20x40 inground pool had crumbling old pavers around it and the pool plumbing needed replacing before we could put a deck in. The Ranieris were a one-stop-shop for this work. They replaced the plumbing, installed a new skimmer box, and poured a gorgeous curved edged 10' patio on one side and 4' deck around the rest of the pool. They are excellent communicators, keeping us informed all throughout the process and coordinated directly with our electrician to get the new ground wire installed and permitted before they poured. No hiccups at all with this process. This work happened this spring 2022, so there were supply and delivery issues with concrete that are outside of the contractor's control. From our perspective, the wait wasn't too bad, and the Ranieris kept us informed every step of the way. Their work is both art and science. We love what they built for us. We would hire the Ranieris for any future projects, and we highly recommend them."

"Eric and his team are the best. I contacted him earlier this month for help. Our lot has a lot of established flower beds and I couldn’t keep up with the weeds. We’d bought a huge pile of mulch in April and had spread 2/3 of it but still had a pile in the driveway that needed to get put down. Eric came with his team the day after I called him and they hand weeded, spread all the mulch, and cleaned everything up. They got more done in 5 hours then we’d gotten done in two months. It was a huge relief. Eric and his crew are pleasant, professional, and great at what they do. I’ll be calling them again."

"I was initially upset because I had purchased an Angies's promo of 16 man hours of painting. when the owner came to scope the job I said I wanted the house painted - particularly the places I could not reach without an extension ladder. He said they wouldn't be able to finish the work within the 16 man hours and quoted me the cost to finish the 2 sides of the house. When they were finished on day 2 after only 1/2 the day, I felt I had been overcharged to finish the work in order to offset the deal I paid for - which made the "deal" not really a deal. When I called the owner, he agreed to do an additional 1/2 day. I was initially not pleased with the way this was quoted but the owner did make good on the arrangement to my satisfaction. The painters did a very good job of prepping, painting and cleaning up the property. I was pleased with his painters."
