"Deciding to bite the bullet and remodel the entire first floor of my home, I knew I needed to use a professional who understood it was the home I grew up in and that it would be an emotional renovation. Steve had redone a bathroom for me previously, so after an initial consultation on this huge project, I knew he was the one for the job. I've never been happier with the quality of work, communication, and friendliness that Steve provided from start to finish. <br /> The work encompassed a lot...brand new kitchen, 1st floor bathroom, foyer, dining room, living room, fireplace, front porch, and stairs. Yes, a lot of work, especially considering the layout was changed by removing a wall and pretty much everything was gutted down to the studs. It's tough to describe all the work he did without seeing it, but he installed brand new cabinets, bathroom vanity/sink, appliances, tile and bamboo floors, new doors including front entry door, new stone on the porch surrounding the door, new columns on the porch, and even custom-made moldings throughout. <br /> The best part of hiring Steve to do the work was that he's not only a skilled builder, but he has a fantastic design sense. He made suggestions along the way about different directions we could go for some of the details, and every single person who has walked into my house since the work has literally said "wow". Any contractor can build what you want them to build, but the small details and refusal to stop short of perfection make Steve an extremely rare find.
