"Hard to find decent contractors in my area, called one said he come out and never did. A family member told me about Home Advisor so one morning I put my request in and with in 5 minutes I had a phone call from Ivan. Ivan and his team did some fence and deck repair. Ivan and his team were very professional and the work they did was AWESOME!! Have more projects that need to be done and we defiantly will hire Southern Contracting, LLC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!"

"Zach custom built a car port for us. He showed up on time, did exactly what he said he was going to do, and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Pricing was competitive with larger companies, but his product was built with heavier gauge steel. Extremely satisfied and I would highly recommend Robertson Mobiles Welding."

"I know like me there are many people at the Lake of the Ozark’s that are having to deal with Dock damage due to ice and the low lake level, my walkway had slipped off the sea wall and some anchor lines were broken. I searched for a repair specialist and found Docktor Dock on this app. Joe came out gave me a free estimate of the cost and scheduled the repair job, Joe was professional and knowledgeable of how to repair the damage. I would recommend Docktor Dock for anyone that is dealing with Dock issues of any kind, this company is a “five star” and I would hire them again if needed."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Montreal, MO

Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.

Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.

Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
