They have very hard working employees who did a great job. The entire job took 2 days, when the work was completed everything was cleaned up and it looks great. He quickly scheduled a follow-up and sent his team to fix it in a short period of time. In these days you can easily find any contractors do the work and work away with your money. "Goias Home Improvements (GHI) was recommended to us by the person from which we bought our condo. The condo needed complete gutting, as very little was done to it over time. Gil Goias of GHI literally held my hand throughout the whole process - he clearly outlined what work would be (and wouldn't be) done. He recommended where to get flooring from (MSI, Edison NJ), lighting and plumbing fixtures (Ferguson,Middletown NJ). His recommendations were always right on the money. Every week I'd get status updates on progress, which sometimes included videos. Since it was a total remodel, I was told up front to expect the unexpected, which did occur, and the change orders were clearly explained and would not start until I approved them. Gil is an excellent project manager who minimized surprises. His team of miracle workers transformed the place - there isn't anything they can't do. Their work is absolutely superb. "We purchased a house that was 20 years old. We needed our concrete walkway repaired, as it sank over a period of several years, leaving the distance between steps as a safety hazard. Brian and his crew assessed the situation and did an amazing job. Besides replacing the entire concrete walkway, they also installed a railing. They did another railing in the back of the house and installed a new mailbox as well. 2 days in and we've had many compliments on both the mailbox and walkway. Another neighbor has already asked if HMD is willing to do their mailbox. No job to small (or big, as I believe they're used to doing much larger jobs in the metro area). They also kept our property and surrounding area clean. They loaded equipment and materials in and out, and it was a "busy site" for a couple of days, but when they cleaned up, you would never know they were there, except for the quality craftsmanship they left behind. The front of our house looks better than ever."

"We LOVE our new backyard patio and concrete walkway. I wish I could post pics here of the before and after pictures of the work James (J R Scapes) did. First of all, I called James at 10am on a Saturday morning and within 2 hours he was at my home and answered every question (we had alot of them), gave his suggestions, showed us the patio block colors & styles (Techo Bloc) and spent about 1 1/2 hrs. talking with us and gave us a specific dollar breakdown of all the material that would be used. And James saw that we had 2 smaller dogs and suggested that when we were replacing our landscaping rocks/stones, that we should get a smaller, more rounded rocks/stone so it would be easier for our dogs to walk on. Well, it took me and my husband 5 minutes to discuss that James/J R Scapes was "our guy". We did get a quote from another contractor, who was cheaper. But that contractor spent about 15 min. at the house and did not go in depth about the product or what he would specifically be doing. We were not impressed on his knowledge of his product or what he proposed for the project. But after meeting with James and all the time he spent with us for our projects, we felt at ease and more confident on hiring him. Within 2 weeks our project started and James was working along with his crew...Carl, Phil & Greg. I have to say, these gentlemen were polite, extremely hardworking and took pride in their work, ensuring my projects were nothing less than perfect and beautiful. We just LOVE, LOVE our new backyard and I am showing off the before and after pictures of my patio and front walkway like a mom showing off pics of her kids! LOL. Throughout the whole process, James was there assisting his crew and they were on time each day, worked the entire day and were simply nice, hard working guys. All these gentlemen were "pros" and knew exactly what to do to get the job done professionally. And they didn't mine me asking questions either - LOL. I really had no idea how much I could love the completed projects and I would certainly hire J R Scapes without any hesitation. He will be our "go to guy" for any landscaping or hardscaping needs in the future."
