"I needed to replace my old deck and I contacted 5 recommended contractors for that job. The best solution came from California Home Builders and they are also company with so many excellent reviews so I decided to hire them. And it was a great decision because they did amazing job. The final product is excellent and my new deck is beautiful and quality is superb. I can't recommend enough California Home Builders & Remodeling and would work with them on other remodeling projects on my home."

"This company is run the way a company should be ran. The workers were here on time, they did exactly what they were suppose to do. Seth said it could take 3 days to get the work done, they got it done in 2 days. We are very happy with their work, I would highly recommend Seth Pompey Landscaping. This will be our go to landscaping company. We found it very hard to find someone who would fix the pools tiles, everyone we called said the job was too small or we only redo pools, we couldn't even get a handyman out. Thank You Seth! <br />"

"Efraim and his crew were amazing!  I have done a lot of remolding and landscape work over the years and it's rare to find that special combination of professionalism, skill, honesty, and good communication.  They cleaned up beautifully each day, and were very careful of my plants, making sure they were watered by hand when the irrigation lines had to be moved.  Efraim is a good communicator, and made sure I understood what was going on at every stage of the project.  He really knows what he is doing, and best of all - he enjoys his work,  making it a pleasure to do business with him.  I will use Egald concrete again on future projects. <br />"

"Barely a month ago we first contacted System Pavers to consider having them replace our driveway. Today, I signed off on completion of the project, which was extremely smooth from start to finish. When James Jordan, our design consultant first met with us via video conference, he already had Google images of our property, and was therefore well prepared to discuss what we wanted to do. Based on that meeting, he prepared a first draft plan for what we wanted, which he brought to our home only about 3 days later, along with material samples. At the end of that marathon meeting, we had a game plan for a 2- or 3-phase project: first replacing our driveway and then -- if we were satisfied with phase 1, moving on to the back patio and yard. Two weeks later, construction started, with Jimmy Jackson as our Project Manager and Temo as his crew chief, and now -- less than a week later, everything is completed and beautiful. During the course of construction, we encountered a couple of minor glitches -- nothing major -- and each time, Jimmy's attitude (and that of everyone working with him) was, "no problem -- we can fix that." Meanwhile, our neighbors have been working (with a different company!) on a similar project for the past 4+ months. Needless to say, they are in awe of how quickly our transformation was completed!"

"Overall we're very happy with how the yard turned out - it looks great and it's very clear that Victor's teams only know how to do high quality work. The only issue I had with the whole project was the scheduling of the work to be done. Our project got pushed back several times from maybe November all the way to March. I understand there was an unusual amount of rain, but nonetheless, there was one point where I was told they could start mid-December, and then I never even got a call or message until I eventually reached out on my own. Other than that, it would have been helpful for the guys who came out to speak better English as we had a hard time communicating several times. As I say, in the end it worked out and we're very happy with our backyard and I believe, based on other estimates, that we got a good price."

"He provided the name of the engineer he would use for the structural considerations and the draftsman for the submission of plans to the City of LA for all permit requirements. As soon as the permits were issued he began work immediately. I was on site for the entire project and was extremely well pleased with the workers used, from framers to drywaller, all were excellent.  He kept me informed of all details and progress of the job.  The city inspections went smoothly.  Adam also offered decorating suggestions and referrals for flooring.  I will certainly use Adam for any future projects. <br />"

"I hired Kirk to design a lap pool and surrounding patio for our home.  On his first visit, we discussed the basic features that I wanted in the pool, such as the shape, size, and water features. We also discussed the size of a patio cover and the materials to build and a patio deck.  During this first visit, we also discussed how to improve the view from the home, such as planting trees in key locations, and whether to include an infinity edge on the pool.  I was very impressed by Kirks knowledge of landscaping, pools, and architectural design. <br /> Two weeks later, Kirk returned with the design of our pool and patio and reviewed each item on the drawing with my wife and I.  We were very happy with his initial design and we are now in the process of getting bids from pool companies.  Once the pool construction is underway, we will have Kirk return to help us with picking out plants for the surrounding garden. <br /> Overall, I was very impressed with Kirk's level of knowledge and ability to visualize a design that met our needs and sense of style.  I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a landscape design."

"The question posed was, How did it go? Excellent! Craftsmanship – honesty – attention to detail -taking pride in a job well done; these are descriptors that Gaston Bachelier, of Bachelier & Son’s Masonry, takes to heart. We needed cement and brick work for our backyard, and after reading the positive reviews on Yelp and Angie’s List we contacted Gaston. He came to our home, and patiently answered any question pertaining to what kind of outcome we could expect. Having dealt with a less-than-stellar masonry contractor in the past, my guard was up, but Gaston put me at ease, with his kind manner and professionalism. He inspected the project and sent us a bid. His — not the cheapest quote we received—but compared to the others masonry companies, we had a gut feeling he was the best person for the job. We were right. Gaston and his crew of three; are polite, trustworthy, hard-working, top-notch professionals, and to quote another reviewer on Yelp, Gaston (and his team) exceeded our expectations. It is also true, that he kept us up to date on the progress. Moreover, when he says he and his guys will be there – he means it. None of this crap that many contractors are notorious for – about showing up on a specific day or time, and they are very late or a complete no-show. In addition, you are lucky to get a phone call; otherwise, it seems you are trying to reach them. And the job lags and lags = frustration on the homeowner’s part. This was not the case with Gaston. He was at our home for the 3-days the project ran. Not that his crew needed instruction (they are all very good at their job), but it gives a homeowner piece-of-mind, to have the contractor on premises. After a day’s work, his crew cleaned up our property thoroughly. We will be using Bachelier & Son’s Masonry again for another project. I also have to concur with another Yelp reviewer: That Gaston does not run from job to job, he stays focused on his current project – which will be yours if you smart enough to hire him. And we hope you do! To borrow a quote, “The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains, Long After the Sweetness of Low Price Is Forgotten.” And poor quality is not synonymous with, Bachelier & Son’s Masonry. Mrs. B"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Morongo Valley, CA

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
