Customers say: True professional

"Leo was very helpful and quick to respond. We’re happy with how our 2 bathrooms turned out. Project was completed within the time promised. Our only complaint is that the workers did not clean up very well. But overall, we’re satisfied and we’ll use them again. "

"Beautiful work! I'd used Pacific Kitchens a couple years ago to reface my kitchen cabinets and replace my counter top, and loved the result. Now when I wanted to upgrade my bathrooms, the bathroom upgrade vendors wanted to tear out my bathroom cabinets and bring in pre-fab cabinets that I could pick from a catalog. But I liked the current structure of my bathroom cabinets and drawers, and didn't want to lose the inch or two that a pre-fab installation would cost me. So I went back to Pacific Kitchens for my bathroom vanities and linen closet area. And I'm glad I did! The work is beautiful, the service was excellent. I did have some minor alignment issues that came up a few months later, and Pacific Kitchens personnel responded promptly to fix the problems."

"I was referred to Pat's Custom Cabinets by a coworker who had her kitchen refinishing done by Pat. I'm actually glad I decided to use someone who has over 25 years of experience with cabinets and woodworking because it shows. Everything was explained in detail and the job was done one week before schedule. I had a contractor come over to do some other work in my house,he was very impressed and asked for Pat's information. I'm very pleased with Pat's work that I even had him do my bathroom cabinets."

"Old World Quality in a modern era. Attention to detail, color matching, masking and more. These guys are artists in the truest form. <br /> They are uncompromisingly professional, detailed oriented and expert craftsmen. I tasked them with wood kitchen cabinets that were well beyond their, ?Sell By Date.?  Instead of calling it quits and trying to sell me new cabinets, they said they could make it look like new. Voila! The cabinets look better than when they were new. Then, to the bathroom cabinets: Instead of simply, ?touching up,? they masked, sprayed and created a cherry wood work of art. Their prices are reasonable and actually cheap for the time and craftsmanship they perform. I do not believe you could better at any price! <br />   <br /> <br /> <br />"

"To make a long story short: We are very happy with our new kitchen and our decision to go with Reborn Cabinets, Inc. Very happy with both the new appearance as well as the process which was personal and amazingly swift. It is not easy to please me/us, and we had a number of past experiences that fueled a genuine mistrust about any remodeling and construction promises. We had some goal how much to spend and obtained several bids from different companies. They ranged from solid but outrageously above budget (Peace of Heart Remodeling, 818-807-8038) to spectacularly surreal without any substance (Top Value California Construction, 310-425-6129). And last but not least, Ryan Reed from Reborn Cabinets Inc (714-678-2228) showed up, and with a quiet and almost obsessive detail-orientated endurance analyzed our needs, options, solutions, not shying away from sacrificing his time-off to meet again until everything was discussed. He drew a precise plan, indicated what other service professionals would have to be included and coordinated (plumbing, countertops, etc), defined the time frame and the cost which - amazingly - stayed within our budget goals. A timeline was set out: measuring technician, wait period of about 3 weeks, and under the supervision of project team leader Ron Giesler, the demolition and rebuild occurred on the dot, starting on 9/18 and being completed on 10/5 (of the same year!). Troubleshooting in the implementing phase was promptly addressed. Major kudos to the two installers Erick Lozano and Christian Marquez who were efficient, creative, and very skilled in both routine tasks as well as in finding solutions to unexpected challenges. I would not hesitate to recommend the company to others or use it again if there was a need for other projects (bathroom etc)."

"Kitchen remodels can be difficult even under the best of circumstances, so timely communication is key to the inevitable delays that are sure to take place. From experience, this is not our first, so some things were assumed. This is not a reflection of the people responsible for the completion of this project and I found Dan (sales), Daniel, Peter and Victor to be extremely competent in delivering on the contract. They also made suggestions that really enhanced the project as well. Everything was chosen in May ensuring a long lead on all that was necessary to complete as was promised; that is 2 days for cabinet refacing and 2 days the following week for countertops. We entered week 3, yes, week 3 without completion waiting on items that were known to them weeks/months ago. Here’s what you should know: Any time frames should be multiplied by 2. The operations manager will not call you back or text you for that matter if though I requested several times. The company owner (as I later found out) stopped by to help, but never acknowledged me nor introduced himself. If you have you dark wood cabinets refaced, they don’t paint match over the side facing. Make sure that is clear from the outset. Communication is key and that could be better. It's the reason they are not rated higher."

"My wife and I needed a quick turnaround renovation. We were expecting our first child and we had a due date that wasn't changing, so when we were interviewing contractors Paul stated they could have all the work done in the amount of time we requested, I believed him, and he delivered. All the work above was performed in about 9 weeks, and completed on time, even with a little extra work added from the original scope. My wife and I had moved out of the house so that the work could be done faster. Work started end of February and was done early April. The work started with removal of the popcorn textured ceilings, and the end result of the work done was great, but the sub consultant used our front yard/ and hoses as a cleaning station leaving quite a bit of mess. Most of it was eventually cleaned up, but the first impression was a little tough. I spoke with Paul about it and the sub never used our yard again to clean up. After that the work got going quicker and quicker. The AC, water heater, walls, windows, new laundry, paint and coordination with our flooring installer done done within a month. One major word of kudos, the team Paul used for framing, drywall, and patching did an excellent job. I believe that is where they really excelled. The electrical install of the new recess lighting looks great and is one of my favorite features of the house. We did some quick re-adjustments of the new laundry room venting, gas lines, and electrical to make more sense with how the new machines would fit, and they were done quickly. The new windows on the outside look incredible, and Paul's team matched our stucco and paint perfectly. As I said before we were on a very rapid schedule, and so one of the last items was painting. Overall, the paint came out OK, but we went through a few rounds of needed touch-ups to missed areas and a few wobbly lines, but Paul's team did what they could to fix things. I would say maybe if I had given them a bit more time the interior paint would have had a better quality, but in the end we got an overall decent job. The last item was a plumbing job. We found that after the install of the new tankless water heater the water pressure in the house was significantly less than previous. Paul's plumber sub was sure it was the reducer and valve outside the house, but I wasn't so sure. When I tried to work with Paul on the price and to see if the new plumbing components were actually necessary and maybe the issue was with the new tankless system he disagreed. I offered to split the cost with him but he refused. Ultimately, after replacing the new plumbing components, the house pressure was still bad. I paid for new plumbing components that did not fix the pressure problem, but Paul did finally offer to split the cost and look into what could be causing the problem. At that time, we were juggling our new baby and truing to move back in and I just wanted the project behind us. <br>Overall, I would use Regal Concepts again. <br>Pros: <br>Pauls Team hit every schedule milestone <br>Great quality of framing, windows, electrical, and coordination <br>Good team of workers, always on time and extra effort <br>Cons: <br>Interior paint was done quickly, but was under rush schedule, but needed a lot of fixing. <br>Our front and backyards were used as messy paint and patch clean up stations.  <br> <br> <br>  "

"We just had our kitchen remodeled and were pleasantly surprised how well the job was done by the cabinet installer and the demolition process. This is because there were people that were very professional and were anxious to make sure are needs were met. We would like to give a special commendation to Jeff Hughes who was an outstanding employee and did a fantastic job installing all the cabinets and made sure the plumbers, electrician, and other people working on the project were coordinated. Boyars is lucky to have such a friendly and efficient employee. Also Laura Kooncz did a great job letting us know when people would be arriving and provided assistance for any problems. Her coordination of the project is to be commended. We are very happy that we selected Boyars as they were not only professional but the job was completed in 8 1/2 days. Ginny and Lee Sharp"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Mount-laguna, CA

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
