"We hired Jonah and his team to remove our popcorn ceilings in a bedroom, bathroom and closet. He was very professional over the phone as well as in person. He was able to fit us into his schedule the very next week. The second day of popcorn removal we asked him for a quote to go ahead and paint those same rooms. Without hesitation he reached out and gave us a price and after confirming, his team started prep for that project the exact same day. We went from agreeable gray to Greek villa and we love it! During the process we had access to progression photos through a link that was provided to us and it was a perk to be able to see the work getting done. Jonah was available when we needed to ask questions, and was quick to respond. We would recommend him and his team for any interior painting needs or popcorn ceiling removal."

"Axel is an expert. Listen to him on the exact paint to use. He did our kitchen cabinets, which look new. They had a difficult rubberized antiqued finish and he conquered it. He will only do a job the right way. Also painted our difficult den and its beautiful."

"Here goes. Abraham is a good guy and means well with his work. He has been doing it a long time and has guys in his crew that are experienced. He answers the phone most of the time on the first try which is nice. Texting is a different story, I sent multiple texts without a reply but the calls always went through. Overall his rating is a 3. What didn't get him a 5 is below and my story. I work construction but I am not experienced with ceiling work and drywall. However, I do know how scheduling and good quality work. My project started a couple months ago with a quote and estimates. My project involved hanging new ceiling and also fixing cracks in the existing ceiling from old ceiling remains. The new hung ceiling was flawless and was a really good job. I also had a last minute repair which involved cutting out and replacing a piece of the ceiling which was also really good... The mud work was good on applying and if you don't know it's a slow process of applying mud, skimming, and then sanding. This is where there were issues. I had to inspect multiple time and circle all of the things missed which should not be my job. I would come home from work and notice things not sanded and circle them again to get them out again. Fast forward to 1 month later after I thought the job was complete and I started priming and painting the ceiling. As directed by Abraham I primed and painted with a different group. Cracks appeared in the ceiling which had me calling again and to try to figure out what's going on. After some arguing calls he came back out like he said he would , but complained along the way. My suggestions were to come back out or refund me for the good work minus the rework being performed. He went with coming back out. Apparently my house having old ceiling is the culprit. This time the fix was ceiling tape, mud, and a couple days drying time to make sure it drys well. All was looking good until the sand day when I come home and see where some things were sanded and others not so much. I again had to be the one to point out the spots missed. He had a problem with me getting him to come back over and over touching up or fixing the spots missed. If I'm seeing the problems then obviously there needs to be a fix. It's not like I have it out for the guy. He then starts bringing up how the only way to completely fix the ceiling is to hang a new ceiling. Given the ?humps? that appeared in the ceiling which can?t be fixed perfectly. He told me this on the return visit after I've already paid for everything. Payment was reasonable but not cheap. This comment bugged me due to the fact that he didn't bring this up in the beginning of the job. He said that he could make it look good and that he could fix it. That's all I cared about so I went with it. Hearing that was annoying. Be accountable for your work and do a good job. All in all. The man does hang a good new ceiling and repair work. Mud work is OK. Communication is rough, scheduling is forced from the owner. I had to ask over and over for a schedule and time frame. Tons of rework. I was mixed with good and bad feeling on this project which is read in this review. Multiple annoyed phone calls which I don't have the time or want. Oh, and there prep work and cleanup is horrible. I had to clean everything and mud drips off multiple items. I've had better subs than this. I'm hesitant doing more work with him. Given my house is ?cursed? in their eyes now. Here's to whoever reads all of this."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Mount Pleasant, SC

For aluminum siding, go with a high-quality 100% acrylic exterior paint. Start with an oil-based primer to ensure the finish adheres and shields the metal from oxidation and moisture. The primer seals the surface and provides the acrylic with a surface to grip. Skip latex primers or paints—their reaction with aluminum can trap bubbles and cause early peeling.

How long will painted aluminum siding last?

A well-done paint job on aluminum siding can last around 15 years, making the upfront effort worthwhile. Longevity hinges on solid prep: thoroughly cleaning the surface to remove chalky residue, dirt, and mildew so the new paint can adhere properly. It’s also important to paint when temperatures are between 50°F and 80°F, as extreme heat or cold can affect drying and adhesion. Steer clear of rainy days—moisture under the paint weakens adhesion and speeds up peeling or fading, which can significantly shorten the lifespan of your fresh coat.

Plan on repainting when the finish starts fading or leaves a chalky, white residue on your hand. Check the siding each year; if there’s a powdery residue on your palm, it indicates oxidation is underway on your siding. A fresh coat of paint stops peeling before it starts, boosts curb appeal, and keeps the metal protected.

Spray painting aluminum siding offers significant benefits compared to other application styles. Spray painting delivers even coverage, rapid application, and enhanced adhesion compared to traditional painting methods. This technique ensures every surface is evenly coated, minimizes labor time, and provides a sleek, professional finish that withstands weather and oxidation for lasting results.

The return on investment for aluminum siding is 70%. For example, a $10,000 aluminum siding installation will add $7,000 to your home’s resale value. Regional housing markets, the quality of siding materials, and ongoing upkeep—including repainting and repairs—influence final ROI. Investing in professional installation and regular maintenance ensures you recoup a significant portion of your siding costs when it’s time to sell.

Several materials can replace aluminum siding, each offering unique trade-offs. Vinyl siding requires minimal upkeep and resists fading, lasting up to 30 years. Wood siding provides classic warmth but demands regular painting or sealing. Fiber cement and composite siding offer exceptional durability and design flexibility, requiring minimal maintenance. Brick veneer and stucco create premium, long-lasting exteriors, but they come with higher upfront costs and increased installation complexity.
