"I have had several contracting experiences and without a doubt Gabe, Shane and the rest of the guys are Kleinhenz Landscaping were the best I've ever had.  Gabe came over and did the original layout for us and was very patient and helpful in making several different design iterations based on changes we wanted to make.  He provided detail layout drawings and a 3D rendering that helped us to visualize the space.  We kicked off the project in mid March and one of the best things I noticed right away was Gabe's crew was very professional, taking time to lay down plywood to make sure equipment and machinery didn't damage our existing landscape.  Additionally, and perhaps the most surprising given what you get from most contractors, Gabe's guys were there every day until the project was done.  I experienced none of the usual "two days on three days off, your project takes two months to finish" garbage that you normally get.  Gabe told me the project would take 10 days, I honestly didn't believe him.  They were done in 10 days (counter top excluded but Gabe properly set that expectation).  Plus we had a few additions during construction, one of which was lighting (we had forgotten it in the original design) and the other was some additional landscaping.  Gabe's crew responded in short order with no hesitation.  Gabe himself was also available multiple times for me to run ideas past him on little things like putting in an element to cover up some of our mulch bed.  He offered several suggestions and different approaches.   <br /> The project came to a finish just like he said and looks fantastic.  When I purchased my grill I bought it from a place that has landscape components as well and does their own installation.  The guy founded out I was using Gabe and said "He's great, he's one of the only guys in Columbus that can do everything, not just landscaping but the hardscape stuff as well."  I completely agree and give Kleinhenz Landscaping my highest review. <br />"

"We have had problems with moss and mildew causing our pavers to be slippery. We also had some pavers that have been stained by black walnut husks. L-W has a special machine that gently cleans the pavers and collects the dirty water for disposal. The pavers are allowed to dry for several days, and then they apply a sealer. I think they also sweep in some sand (or a special sand mix) into the seams. Depending on traffic, the sealer is supposed to help for 3-5 years. We have large trees and a shady lot so we have had problems with moss, mildew and weeds. We also wanted to have some paavers with permanent stains removed and replaced prior to sealing. L-W found matching pavers and did a great job on this. Now, we are careful to remove black walnuts from the pavers so we don't get any further stains. They were very professional and helpful and did a great job. We will use them again. <br />"

"Larry Schmitz is the owner and operator of Twin Pines. He provide me timely estimates, scheduled the work with almost no delay (quite unusual for landscape contractors in the spring), and completed completely to spec in short order.  The work was flawless, and he's agreed to inspect the job monthly for me.  Of course that's for a small fee, but I've had a few landscaping projects go bad for want of competent oversight (I'm not competent; I hate gardening). The first time he came by, all he had to do was pull a few weeds, and he deemed that not worthy of submitting a charge, even though he traveled to my house to inspect everything. In other words, Larry is a very honest contractor whom I'd recommend highly.  One of the reason I asked him to keep coming back on a monthly basis is that I never intend to employ any other company for this type of work. <br />"
