"I hired Norm to do my garage cabinets and it is a decision that I regret. He showed up late repeatedly and he works by himself. His work is very unpolished and he does not pay attention to details AT ALL. He builds the cabinets from scratch right on the spot. When he first showed up, the materials were already scratched and scuffed up. He also parked his truck in my driveway and it leaked oil all over my pavers, that I had to clean up every day after he left. The edges of my cabinets were starting to peel before he even finished the job. He was supposed to provide additional shelves for our shoe rack and he has not provided them after several calls and almost nine months. I feel compelled to let it be known to others looking to hire him. I wish I had hired someone else. He is a nice guy, but he is not a good businessman."

"From the moment I met Guy, I sensed he was very different from other contractors with whom I'd worked....and it was true. He wrote down, in detail, everything that was to be done and it was all completed beautifully and in a timely manner. He brought in superb craftsmen and treated them with great respect, something I've found lacking in other contractors with whom I've worked. Whenever I had a question, he responded promptly and visited often to make sure I was pleased with the work. He even built a custom support for an under-mount sink when the one provided by the manufacturer proved flimsy--something that wasn't even included in our contract! I'd developed some trust issues over the last couple years as a result of working with dishonest contractors or those whose work was of a poor quality. Guy renewed my faith. He is an honest, kind, skilled man and I will never use another contractor. Thank you, Guy!"

"I have been wanting to renovate our bathroom since the day my husband and I moved in to our house 4 years ago. Part of the reason why we didn’t renovate earlier is because it was hard to find someone we could trust. Every contractor/worker I tried I felt they were take advantage of us. In other instances, we found someone cheaper but didn’t do a good job which resulted into us doing the work ourselves or spending MORE MONEY! This made us very hesitant to really invest until we found someone. And we did! We got so luckily! We found Asher at a Home and Garden Convention in Orange County. Asher is very knowledgeable, professional and the one thing that I appreciated the most is his honesty. He made the process very easy for us. He was always available through phone and came to the house multiple times to ensure the job was getting done correct. He even went to the store with us to help us find the materials we needed. This was something I really appreciated since it saved us time and headaches. His quote was a little higher compared to the other ones we got but we trusted him and knew that the finished product will look amazing... And YES! our bathroom looks amazing!!! It was worth the investment."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Mountain-pass, CA

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
