"Adam is by far one of the best contractors who have worked on our house. He was punctual, had good suggestions and was very reasonably priced. In addition, Adam is a perfectionist who made absolutely certain that my wife and I were happy with every aspect of the work. We are very pleased and would hire him without reservation."

"He was on time (15 minutes early) on the day he came to look at the problem. He called me the same day with the estimate. He returned my calls and answered my questions. On the scheduled day of service, he was on time (15 minutes early), and completed the work in 1.5 hrs. It looks better than I even hoped for, and 10x better than the plumber left it. Problem is solved. <br />"

"Bob and the crew were wonderful from initial meeting to finish! I cannot say enough good things about the whole team! Bob would return calls same day and answered any questions, quoted a great price, started the project 2 weeks earlier than anticipated, always cleaned up after every day - never left a mess, whole crew was friendly and personable, flexible payment options, and great quality of work! We couldn't be happier! I definitely recommend this company and will hire them again for future projects! A+++++++++!"

"Rodney and his crew of "2 Matts" were incredible. We had a rush project to get our new home painted on a tight schedule all at highly competitive prices! Rodney and his crew worked around snowstorm delays and got a great job done. Rodney was always accessible and helped through several decision points as we got into the project. The 2 Matts are consummate professionals who kept their workspaces tidy before/during/after they worked each and every day. They did amazing work on all interiors (sashes, trim, wall patch ups, etc.) and also were willing to attempt projects they had never done before (strip of previously painted fireplace/restoration painting of glib back splash). My wife and I would highly recommend Rodney and his crew to anyone looking for reasonably priced professional paint contractors!"

"Work in bathroom and kitchen in tenant side went well. Installation of kitchen cabinet did not go well. Handles put on crooked, marked and damaged corner of one door under sink, end caps of counters were never finished and have fallen off.  Two weeks after, it was necessary to have them return for leaks under both of the double sinks.  Leak occurred on Saturday evening and they came to repair it on Monday evening so we had two days without access too my kitchen sink.  It was the weekend before Thanksgiving and we were preparing to have our family dinner on Sunday.  As a result, we had to move everything including the dinner to my son's house, <br />"

"This is the contractor you want to hire. Paul is courteous, professional, talented, and genuinely vested in your project. Paul was always available via email or phone to answer all of my questions and concerns. Paul's work is meticulous. He lined up my recessed lighting perfectly. His work is not sloppy nor rushed. Even after the job was done and something needed adjusted, he would do so quickly and attentively. For example, we had a lot of and quot;nail popsand quot; in our drywall, and he would keep fixing them. Paul is very trustworthy, honest, and dedicated. I highly recommend him. <br />"

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Mountain Top, PA

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
