"100% the best electricians in Boise. They did a 200A upgrade and a generator inlet on my house. Perfect work, on time, friendly, and most importantly the best price in Boise. Definitely recommend them and will call them back if I need more. They did a quote and stood by it the whole time. No “nickel and dime” with these guys. Call them!!!"

"I called, late in the day looking for someone to come troubleshoot an electrical issue with my well pump. He showed up quickly, diagnosed the issue efficiently. Found a resolution to the problem and helped to prevent the issue from recurring with a little load balancing. Fantastic service and would recommend."

"I hired Josh because he was the electrical subcontractor on my new build home where I wanted to add a few items. Not only was he was able to leverage his familiarity with the house, but also he is keenly focused on service and satisfaction. He and his crew quickly and efficiently installed two new 220V circuits (one for an EV charger and a second for a hot tub), plus an additional soffit outlet to power an exterior retractable solar shade. He communicated clearly and consistently throughout. He also provided recommendations which resulted in savings (applying some DIY talents and use of products available on Amazon). I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again when I need electrician services and would recommend him to family and friends."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Nampa, ID

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
