"I cannot recommend Trino highly enough! He and his crew did a beautiful job replacing half of my concrete driveway. They were here exactly when they said they would be, did everything they promised, and cleaned everything up when they finished. Even when I suggested they could skip steps, he insisted on doing everything properly, including completely digging out a huge tree root, adding color to minimize differences with the existing concrete, and laying rebar."

"Thursday, three men showed up at 8:45 am and helped me remove pictures and furniture away from the walls. They put down tarps to cover everything up and proceeded to punch 1 inch holes on the top and bottom every 16 inches for the insulation. The bathroom has tile so they punched holes from the other room for the bathroom because they cannot punch holes in the tile itself. <br /> They have a big truck with 150 foot hose to pump the cellouse insulation. The process took about 30 seconds per hole and they had to punch about 80 holes. They put in 1 inch cork into every hole so after they filled the hole, they knocked the cork into the hole and they patched it so they made sure every hole was filled before the drywall patch took place. It was a smooth patch so we added some spray texture a few days later before we painted because our walls are textured. They were done for the day at 2:30pm. <br /> On Friday, two men showed up (they only needed 2 for the exterior walls because there is no items to remove) at 8:45 am to put in the insulation for the exterior walls They had this big 1 inch drill bit about 2 feet long and proceeded to drill a hole on the top and bottom every 16 inches.  They used the same long hose and proceeded to pump in the insulation taking about 30 seconds per hole. Afterwards, they used a gray stucco patch for each hole and then sprayed white primer so it was ready to paint. I few weeks later, I decided to repaint the entire house in a darker gray to cover up the primer white marks so there was no evidence that any insulation was installed. Now the house has fresh paint inside and out. <br /> I received another quote for the same cellouse material and the estimate was 30% higher than ALL SEASONS INSULATION CO. I gave them a check when they were finished. There is less noise from the traffic and we can have the TV louder without the person in the other room being able to here it. We have not noticed a reduction in the temperature since the insulation has been installed. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"While I prefer to be able to contact my service providers by email or a reception service ... Sunset Concrete doesn't have these and quot;frillsand quot;: Just great work at a surprisingly good price. In other words... excellent <em>value</em>. <br /> I think Mark's voicemail box was full or not working properly, but it did not take much phone tag to get a quick, honest, no-nonsense quote faxed over. <br /> It took another couple of calls to clarify the scope of the job, (even though I emailed back the signed quote as approval) and the dates. He's a busy guy, but it isn't too hard to firm up the contract. <br /> He took care of our permits and started work before the originally estimated date. Slightly odd, perhaps and quot;unprofessionaland quot; by definition? On the other hand: The quality of the work is outstanding: Professionalism where it counts! The crew is skilled and attentive to detail. <br /> Very few concrete contractors follow the DPW codes to the letter -- I looked up these overly complicated requirements. The real test of reliability is how quickly the contractor obtains permits and then instant approval of the completed work. Sunset Concrete met <strong><em>my </em></strong>high quality standards. <br />"

"Morgan Construction was one of several contractors that we chose from given a list from our insurance company. We are SO GLAD that we went with Morgan. We really appreciated the types and depth of questions that were asked during the estimate, as well as the multiple options that we were given for our two-room project moving forward. There are several aspects of the project that were handled especially well: 1. Highly communicative. Emails and text messages were communicated with excellent turn around time, addressing all questions and concerns in a prompt manner. 2. The vendor list that was given to us by Morgan Construction featured high quality, well-valued options for bathroom fixtures and tiling. Other, cheaper contractors blankly told us to "go to Home Depot" which was just ridiculous given the lasting investment that we wanted to make. All vendors came through with excellent materials in a reasonable amount of time. We were very pleased with our choices and with the finished result. 3. The quality of sub-contractor work was phenomenal. The bathroom tile installation, electrical work, and plumbing were all done in a very efficient and high quality manner. All subcontractors also cleaned up after their portion of the project in a very thorough and detailed manner - much appreciated. 4. Daniel Morgan, the contractor who came out to do the initial estimate, was present on side for the majority of the project. He kept us updated on the status of repairs at each step of the project, and gave valuable advice on fixtures and installation options. The fact that he was so highly involved in all steps of the project was also greatly appreciated. There was a level of quality and pride in the work done that surpassed even our highest expectations. We give Morgan Construction our highest recommendation and are very grateful that we ended up accepting their bid."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Napa, CA

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
