"We had a great experience getting our patio done. Nate was communicative throughout the entire project, always keeping us informed on progress and any issues they encountered along the way. He also made a point to stop by in person to review everything and talk things through, which we really appreciated. Their availability was very flexible, making the whole process easy to coordinate. Most importantly, the final result is absolutely beautiful! We are so happy with how it turned out and look forward to spending time on it this summer!"

"Mario did a fantastic job. We had another contractor on site replacing kitchen floor. He was equally impressed with the work done. The flooring contractor has already referred Capital Region Masonry to his clients The job started off as a repair but as the damage to the front step unfolded, Mario explained to us what the correct and better approach should be. He explained everything in detail without being condescending. He was very respectful of our property. He left the job site clean each day and was very pleasant to have around when he was here."

"I have nothing but great things today say about Excellent Exterior! The wind storm in October cause a 90 foot tall tree to fall on my house and deck. We took care of the demolition of the old deck, but wanted to bring in a professional for the replacement. After reading through reviews and looking at pictures, I knew this company was top notch. I had a meeting with Ian to go over the details and he got me right on their list. A couple weeks later we met at Curtis Lumber to pick our the color/railing. I was expecting to have the deck done mid-late March since they are already very busy, however Ian let me know last week the had some time open up and could fit me in if that worked for me! It took them 2 days to build a beautiful deck, exactly what I was looking for. Communication was great and we are so happy! Use Excellent Exterior and Decking, you won't regret it!!"

"We went into this major project never having hired a landscaping contractor before, and didn?t really know what to expect.  We needed a lot done, and didn?t have a great vision for exactly how it could get done or what the final outcome might look like.  John was the only landscaper we met with that had a great vision and was able to suggest things we never thought of, which ultimately led to a better outcome than we would have had with others that were just willing to do what we thought we wanted at the time.  We were right to trust in John and his vision ? and we are incredibly satisfied with the results.  John was great to work with throughout, and his entire crew were friendly and professional.  I would definitely recommend Perennial Landscaping without reservation. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in New-Baltimore, NY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
