"I hired Zach to install a french drain, to plant some trees, and to install a rock bed at the edge of my property. Zach and crew were very timely and pleasant, and the price was right. But after completion i noticed some minor property damage, and some minor issues with the quality of work and cleanup. I'm a reasonable guy and sent Zach a text letting him know my thoughts, hoping to have a direct convo about it. However, I have not heard back from him at all. Hate to not leave 5 stars, but a little extra customer service would have gone a long way here. Here is that text: Hey Zach, just completed the final invoice. Apologies it took me a few days, we were camping with no cell service until yesterday. I wanted to let you know since i believe in constructive feedback, I'm not happy with some of the work done. My fence post was ran into and dented. I'll try to use a crowbar to repair but if that does not work i'll have to order a replacement & install. A bunch of the trees are planted at a pretty strong 30 degree angle instead of being upright. I'll straighten these out. There are still lots of big rocks in the lawn where the rock pile was. I'll take 30 minutes to clean it up. I know it rained heavily after the fresh soil / seed was planted, but some straw would have gone a long way to keep it in place. I'll have to re rake and seed and straw everything. Some of these are small things, but they leave a bad impression, and I wish your team would have just been upfront with me about the bent fence post."

After hearing so many horror stories about construction and previously living through the nightmare (as a child with my parents), my husband and I have always done work ourselves. While that does save money and ensures a project is completed to our standards, unfortunately our current schedule would not allow us to tackle a project of this size. Having more knowledge than most, we had many more questions and requests than the normal client may have. Carl was always patient with us and very accommodating. His staff was EXCELLENT! When we did encounter a couple of very minor miscommunications (to be expected with any construction), they immediately made the adjustments upon request. <br /> This was phase one of our construction (as well as our and quot;tester projectand quot;) and we are anxious to start phase two as soon as we are able. I can say without question, we will definitely want Alexander Construction back. We appreciate their QUALITY WORKMANSHIP and ATTENTION TO DETAIL. We are especially thankful they communicated their schedule and stuck to it. We were not tracking them down to do work or wondering when they would show up. When Carl was not at the job site, Tim did a SUPERB JOB of making sure the project ran smoothly and timely. The staff was courteous, friendly, and very professional at all times. We were comfortable with the staff around all our family including our children and my mother in law. We had multiple contractors out to bid this job as well as our future project and we found a couple that were very high and a couple very low and incomplete. We had one that didn't provide an estimate or even a call back to decline the job and another we had to chase for a bid. Alexander Construction ranked with the higher end but Carl's knowledge, patience with our requests, and professionalism helped to seal our decision. We have not been disappointed and am confident this is their standard operating procedures. They have just finished and we are now moving in furniture and can't wait to enjoy our new space. I almost hate to post this review as we want them available to complete our next project in late spring or early summer. <br />"
