"Colton Otto knows what he is doing. He is professional and went out of his way to inspect our driveway, give us a fair bid and scheduled a good time for us. He edged the grass around the driveway and used a covering to keep the sealing material on the driveway. The finished product was great. My neighbors were impressed and we left is dry for two days. I would recommend Otto Sealcoating of Carlisle to everyone expecting a clean quality job."

"This company IPAVE is a great contactor Ryan the owner is one of the nicest people you could meet. He is a man of his word, he and his crew are top notch second to none. They came and done the job at a very reasonable price and with great expertise work. I highly recommend IPAVE. Ryan is a man who stands behind his work. He does the job with a paving machine the correct way it should be done not just shovel and rake like a lot of contractors do. I knew what my driveway needed and when Ryan showed up to give me an estimate I waited to see if he knew what he was doing and when he explained how he would handle the job he said exactly what I knew it needed at that point I knew Ryang new his job very well.Thank you Ryan and Ipave crew your #1,Ray Snyder Mechanicsburg,Pa"

"Central seal coating, and mowing is owned and operated by Travis Wilson. Licensed and insured company. We Couldn’t be more happier! Driveway and parking lot looks great. Travis was very thorough with his explanation for work he was performing am my residence. Travis and his employees are very respectful, honest and hard-working. Central seal coating and mowing does exceptional work. Travis is an independent owner/operator contractor, who funds all of his own materials prior to it being done. He just asked to be paid when the job is complete and you’re satisfied with central sealcoating and mowings work. He guarantees his work and stands behind it. Central sealcoating and mowing was very professional. Don’t expect to pay a fortune to have work performed by central Sealcoating & mowing.I recommend central seal coating in mowing for all your asphalt needs"

"Good job for the price, but not was I was expecting. He originally told me that he would fill the cracks & seal driveway with a spray on sealant. I didnt realize that he meant that he wasnt going to actually fill the cracks. Instead, he just sprayed over them. The sealant will keep water from starting new cracks, but the water is still going to be able to get down in the old cracks. I did ask him over the phone if I needed to clean the driveway before he arrived. He told me it wasnt necessary. Im not sure if this is common practice or not but the only cleaning he did was to use a leaf blower over the driveway."

FAQs for asphalt sealing projects in Newville, PA

If you live in a mild climate, you may only need to seal the surface every three years. If you live in extreme heat or cold, you should seal your driveway every other year to protect it from sun or winter weather damage. Consider the frequency of sealing a driveway when purchasing a home in an area with extreme weather.

Sealing your driveway between spring and fall in optimal warm and dry weather conditions maximizes its protection and extends its lifespan. Moderate temperatures allow the sealant to bond properly with the asphalt surface, ensuring a durable seal. Avoid sealing during extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow, as these conditions can prevent the sealant from curing correctly.

An asphalt filler sealer is a product that fills cracks while simultaneously sealing the asphalt surface, providing comprehensive protection in one application. It's ideal for repairing minor damage and preventing future issues. When selecting the best asphalt filler sealer, consider factors such as drying time, durability, environmental impact, and compatibility with your existing asphalt. Choose a high-quality product that fits your budget and meets your driveway's specific needs to ensure long-lasting results.

Maintaining your coated blacktop is essential for its longevity. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year using a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove dirt, debris, and stains. Reseal the surface when required, every two to three years, to keep it protected. Avoid parking on a newly sealed driveway for at least two weeks. Prevent oil and gas spills, and promptly repair cracks or damage to prevent them from worsening. Removing snow and ice promptly can also protect your asphalt from freeze-thaw damage.

Preventing cracks in your driveway starts with regular maintenance. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year to remove debris and identify any budding issues. Seal your driveway every two to three years to protect it from water infiltration, UV damage, and wear from traffic. Promptly repair any small cracks to prevent them from expanding. Avoid parking heavy vehicles on the edges of your driveway and ensure proper drainage to reduce stress on the asphalt or concrete. These proactive steps help maintain the integrity of your driveway and extend its lifespan.

Absolutely. You don't need to be restricted to the standard blacktop asphalt. These days, you can find this material in exciting colors like brown, white, green, brick, terracotta, and more. If you have a color in mind, shop around to find the option that suits your vision for your asphalt driveway.
