"Alfredo actually came in as the lowest bid I got because he is so fair with pricing. After reading his reviews and seeing pics of all the good work he had previously done I knew he was the right guy for the job. Cheaper prices definitely did not mean lower quality work. Unlike other contractors he gave me multiple options to choose from for different aesthetics that would all still allow proper drainage. This allowed me to pick the exact look I wanted. His crew were all very pleasant and all hard workers. They were able to pull out all grass, soil and other debris then pack all new base rock and lay rebar all in just 1 day. This was for a new single car driveway as well as another new driveway and the side yard behind that (3 new spaces to park vehicles total). The next day all the concrete was poured/ textures and they took the time to do a really thorough clean up as well as even re-route my sprinklers so they worked properly. Just 2 days to completely create 3 new driveways! I’m really impressed with the work and so are my neighbors. 3 have already asked me for Alfredo’s number."

"Candido and his crew were fantastic! We hired them to completely makeover our backyard. They had to remove piles of dirt, bushes, old trees, take up the old cement and then lay new sod, lay an entire new concrete patio, and create gorgeous planters for us that surround the entire yard. The entire project was shockingly completed in a week and looked amazing. We have since hired him to put in irrigation systems in our planters and sprinklers in the yard. We also hired him to do front yard clearing work and weeding and that was done in one day. We also recently hired him to take down a closet in a small room to make it bigger, and his crew did that, patched the ceiling, relaid flooring, and then painted the room for us over a week - it turned out amazing! "From start to finish the experience was great. I was so happy with them that I did not do a price comparison. I feel I got my money's worth! I had an area that was just dirt where the patio should have been. When I bought my home, there was a rotty old deck covering this bare patch. I tried using flag stones and vegetation but it never really worked...so I finally called the cement guys to patch it up. <br /> First they gave me a rough estimate over the phone, which helped tremendously, to get a feel for what I would be looking at. Then Ignacio came out and inspected the area and gave me a formal proposal. I liked him immediately and felt confident to move forward. In my previous home I'd had extensive concrete done and knew enough to recognize a quality team. <br /> Sure enough, they came promptly the next day, worked all day and finished and cleaned up with no sign of their having been there. I really liked that they dug down deep, included rebar, and hand tinted the concrete for the final finish. It was exactly what I asked for, a smooth tinted finish. <br />  I still need to arrange the plants a bit, but Ignacio even volunteered to have a guy come back and help me! I am so impressed by their employees, who were courteous and very professional. The work is great. They did a really fine job trying to match a motley colored tile that covers the rest of the patio. Sunset Concrete doesn't have these and quot;frillsand quot;: Just great work at a surprisingly good price. In other words... excellent <em>value</em>. <br /> I think Mark's voicemail box was full or not working properly, but it did not take much phone tag to get a quick, honest, no-nonsense quote faxed over. <br /> It took another couple of calls to clarify the scope of the job, (even though I emailed back the signed quote as approval) and the dates. He's a busy guy, but it isn't too hard to firm up the contract. <br /> He took care of our permits and started work before the originally estimated date. Slightly odd, perhaps and quot;unprofessionaland quot; by definition? On the other hand: The quality of the work is outstanding: Professionalism where it counts! The crew is skilled and attentive to detail. <br /> Very few concrete contractors follow the DPW codes to the letter -- I looked up these overly complicated requirements. The real test of reliability is how quickly the contractor obtains permits and then instant approval of the completed work. "Michael Crum Concrete was recommended to me by a co-worker who indicated he provided excellent work at a fair and competitive price. I Contacted Mike and he came out to my property to see the job site and discuss what I wanted (a large circular pad to accommodate a heavy water storage tank.. He provided his thoughts on the project and then an estimate to get the job done. Based upon my friends review and what I saw in other reviews, I accepted Mike's estimate and hired him to do the job. He gave me a date and time that the 2-day job would begin. He arrived on-time as did his workers. Mike did some necessary tractor work clearing and leveling the area, his crew set about making forms and creating rebar framework. The following day Mike and his team arrived promptly and began the pour and then finishing work. I couldn't be happier with the results and the experience of working with Mike and his crew was enjoyable. Very nice, honest and hard working people.
