"Dave went above and beyond on our door installation, even coming up with some creative fixes for alignment problems that the door supplier created (SBS). He's very detail oriented, knowledgeable, and really wants you to be happy with his work. We plan to work with him again for other home projects!"

"The Fence Guy did a great job. They removed all the old fence; reset posts, which had broken in a windstorm; replaced the back fence line. The Fence Guy was great to work with. Very professional, did good work, in reasonable amount of time. After calling around for nearly a month, The Fence Guy is the only company that actually came out to look at my problem (others on here with A ratings - no call backs). I would recommend the Fence Guy to anyone needing a new fence or a fence repaired."

"I have a drainage issue on my property and I enlisted Green Acres to solve the problem. They elected to connect all of my downspouts to underground piping and route it away and down slope of my house. For the area of the yard that was being saturated from neighboring, up-slope properties, they merely elected to regrade. Due to the amount of moisture involved, I was skeptical that regrading alone would be enough, but I decided to defer to their professional opinion. When everything was completed last fall, they hydro-seeded the graded area. I was suspicious that again, due to the large amount of moisture involved, all of the hydro-seeded areas would be washed out by spring before it could sprout, leaving me with uncovered soil. That is exactly what happened. I called multiple times last spring that their fall hydro-seeding failed and that they needed to come out and do it again (a whopping 15 minutes out of their day) but they never returned my calls. Ultimately, I went to Lowe's and bought a few large bags of soil and a couple large bags of grass seed and took care of the issue myself - and better than they would have done. If not for the hydro-seed problem, I would have given them four stars as they accomplished everything that they said they would - even though it turned out they needed to do something more than regrading to deal with the massive amount of water inundating my property. However, totally blowing off and ignoring a customer's legitimate complaint due to your company's failure is inexcusable. Therefore, they earn a well-deserved one-star review. If you plan on utilizing these people, have a lawyer on retainer ready to go after them. Otherwise, it may cost you more than a few bags of dirt and grass seed."

"We hired Jon’s company to sand and stain our deck in June 2017. Very long story short, we tried every way to get ahold of Jon to talk about the work that was done for a year and a half. The office manager would always say she will have him call, but we never received a call. The deck was done incorrectly and was never finished. It’s now green, rotting and will most likely have to be replaced. Not only was in raining that day but it had been raining for weeks prior. It clearly states on the 124 ounce can of Superdeck Transparent oil based Stain, to NOT apply “…if rain is likely to occur.” Now, here we are at the end of 2018, we finally get a call from Jon and he threatens us with lawsuits/liens/collections etc at Christmas time, after we have spent as much as we can afford on our 3 daughters for Christmas. He repeatedly tells us how busy his company is, which we don’t care because that has nothing to do with us. He says that his company is full of “professionals” but he was not willing to do anything to rectify my situation except gives us $100 off. Gee, thanks a lot, Jon. The following week, after an EXTREMELY rude phone call from Jon and his accountant Linda, who was yelling at me in the background, we paid him, so we never have to speak to him or his staff of “professionals” again. It is obvious that APEX is a poorly managed business at this point. Next summer we will be re-doing the work on our deck ourselves, correctly and professionally. We do not recommend this company to anyone unless you are into horrible customer service and enjoy being on a back burner. Also, just a side note, if I would have checked court view first, and read the reviews with a reoccurring theme, we WOULD NOT have hired him. That was my bad for not taking time to investigate who I was actually hiring."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Nikiski, AK

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
